Having heard the news no doubt it will be impossible to miss the death of Michael Jackson for the next week, this however is not a " " post i am afraid.
Who or what are we mourning?
Are we mourning the music the man created which love it or hate it, had some genius involved and will live on as a happy memory in time forever for many of us.
Or are we mourning the man who was a cowardly unconvicted who only got off because he was so rich he could buy silence, a man who thought himself to be so big he could just about do anything he wanted, a man who became a freak show and loved to fan the flames?
I am sure a few of you will have had a slight intake of breath at the last paragraph, but i find it odd that people are mourning the man more than the music, will we mourn Gary Glitter, no because he is a vile man who was convicted for his deeds because he could not buy silence.
Before you all start saying i should not be talking bad of the dead, this was solely a question to be held for debate and a plausable question i feel.
How is it that because someone had great song talent, we look past all the horror of his deeds and start jumping on the band wagon mourning him, good job Fred West had not had many top selling albums and singles across the world or he too would have been held up as a hero maybe (i know extreme example)!!
Long live the music of Michael Jackson is what i say and honestly mean, but as for the man that was Michael Jackson i personally shed no tears.

Only people really close to Jackson will know the real man.
I know I quote newspapers a lot, but a lot of this was through bad press. Yes I know the " accusations " thrown at him, and who am I to say whether they were true or not?
All I do know is that he was never found guilty of any crime, whatever we may think on that, that is a fact.
Yes he became an " odd ball " fuelled at times by the media hype surrounding him but....he seemed to me a very sad lonely person, who if believed had one shit childhood from a total wanker of a Father.
Whether that played a part in the man he bacame I do not know. All I do know is that for me I loved his music, but as a man I do not really really know enough about him to judge......do any of us?
theres a fellow that lives just down the road from you, he has never been investigated and yet when he dies folk will say how lovely he was , Jackson was investigated tried and found not guilty.. yet here we are calling him an 'unconvicted ', ive no more idea whether he was or was not than the guy down the road from you, i do know that some very serious investigations took place trying to prove that he was yet he was not convicted , on that basis we can be sure to have a better idea than the guy down the road from you.
hes dead .. he made great music, i think we can say that with confidence they are both true, it isnt big or clever to say he was this or that.. you just dont know do you? gossip mongering about the dead lol it just gets better and better.
(replace 'fellow down the road from you' with teacher scoutmaster carpenter nurse doctor or whatever you want)
Yeah but the fella down the road would not have the millions of dollars to buy silence, or the fame and blind support of 50 million fans!
Also easy to go to court as Michael Jackson and be found not guilty........... For my example of American law and its addiction to fame and personallities i use the name OJ Simpson, i suppose as he was found not guilty that must be true also???
Also in follow up, the question i asked was are we mourning the man or the music, not is he,was he a kiddie fiddler???

i didnt bring up the term unconvicted pedofile did i?
neither
couldnt stand the music or any of his families for that matter
couldnt stand the man
dont give a flying fook that he has gone
Neither ...
I think he peaked musically with Thriller which is when he went weird ... liked some of his tunes but was never a huge fan, do think he got away with a lot as a result of his wealth/fame ... never knew him personally other than as a remote celeb so feel no reason to mourn the man either.
There's a lot of hypocrisy at the moment as there always is when these things happen.
Of course lost, but there also wont be any new music.... and i believe its the music we feel not the creator?
well now he is at peace, he was really messed up poor bloke.R.I.P
I still don't understand how you can grieve for somebody you have never met. I think its emotional onanism and would be better directed at the 25,000 children who died from preventable causes yesterday.
haha go Earthy say it as it is hun lmao.
I for one would defo miss ya
Hey Kenty...whats your opinion on Amy Winehouse?
if she died tomorrow, would you then retract your "waste of space" comment you made about her?
