British bread :upset:

British bread? You're joking right? British bread is shite! I had to buy my own breadmaker to make proper bread (used to make it by hand but too time consuming). Continental bread is sublime, have you tried the many varieties of Italian bread, or Greek olive bread? Spanish bread is delicious! Don't tell me you're missing Tescos el cheapo bread that lasts 8 weeks without going mouldy! (what the hell do they put in that bread FFS!)

There are several websites that cater for Brits living abroad .. they sell all the things you lot have listed and are doing a rip roaring trade too for all those ex-pats out there having withdrawal symptoms from Marmite ... British bacon ... PG tips etc biggrin
Google ' buy british food abroad' and you get them all up
DD

i could not have put it better myself...
Generally, we go away for quite a long time every year. If you are on holiday then you can do new and unusual things. Dine out every night, party, generally live it up. But when you are away for a long time it's the ordinary things you miss.
We take things with us. Oxo cubes, tinned beans, some powdered milk but we don't use much of that and one or two other things as well.
There's a gap in every day and it's between your evening meal and bedtime. On holiday you can fill it by going out - but not if you're away for five or six months.
We used to take a VCR and play a film every night. But for the last three or four years - we have a satellite dish and sky television. So when people say "Do you miss Eastenders", I say that I don't and I don't miss Emmerdale, Corrie, Holby City or Casualty either. Because we watch them. Even Tom - though he pretends he reads a book while I watch them.
