Call it Jones- he's welsh, he's a tom, just like that other well known welsh tom and finally.....errr, well i've run out of reasons but Jones would be a good name.
You could hyphenate it so it sounds like royal-welsh.

Jones was also the name of the cat in the "Alien" film too.
I'd go for Bryn, Glyn or Gwyn, just to annoy the English and our predilection for vowels.

any one who now reads this will reveal my identity..
we got 2 kittens,( so much more than 1) and were told its a boy and a girl.
the girl was named mary, she looked likeone and sweet, the other was a stripped grey, we went theough tigger, strippy blurghhh boring. so decided on joseph.
so we have mary and joseph, lol its great watching the receptionist at the vets trying not to laugh incase she offends, joke was on us when the vets tells us they are both girls,but the names have stayed lol.
