Hi All
We are wondering that swinging is legal. Just we have met few cpls on talking level and we are thinking to move on to next level. But we are wondering that swinging or finding someone to share with us is legal. I know dogging is not legal but if anything happens in private property – is it legal? Any law enforcing agency can pose as couple or single person and cause any legal headache? We are new to this any advice welcome.

Having sex among consenting adults is legal and has been for a very long time. Many couples have the impression that swinging or sharing partners for sexual activities is against the law! Nothing could be further from the truth. Singles can have sex with a different partner every night or the cheating partner playing with many different partners is legal. Soliciting or selling sex for money or paying for sex is illegal! Clubs are no different and it is against the law to solicit the public to join a sex club! There is no law we know of that limits the number of personal friends you can invite to your home or a private party! As an example all strip clubs or bars are open to the public and anyone can enter the club right off the street. Swing clubs are not open to the public! There are many different types of clubs and you must apply for membership or pass different screening processes in order to be invited to join the private club. If you are married you would be committing adultery regardless of the fact that all of you have agreed to be swingers. If either of you filed for divorce on the grounds of commiting adultery it would still be a legal claim. A claim has to be filed within six months of knowing about the adultery. In the dim and distant past sex out side of marriage was illegal. On the whole this law has never been changed. It remains a bit like Christmas pudding, illegal, but no one enforces it. So yes swinging is illegal, so is cheating, sex the night before marriage etc. Then again no one will arrest you for it.

I thought about that too. There must be some clause in the Doomsday Book about it. Possibly the Magna Carta.........
