Please can we have the old format back!!
The new format isn't as clear and my scroll finger is getting RSI cos all the detail such as Quick Information etc is on it's own line and takes ages to scroll through
I'm with you spid, I feel my days of speed perving are over
Is it that bad?

my RSI?? yes... I'm seeing my GP tomorrow :-)
I take that back... once themes have been set it looks more finished and rather nice actually.
I was too quick to judge (incredible to believe I know) lol

It's awful isn't it? (layout that is) - I thought it was a web formatting error at first - I do hope they put it back or sort it out - looks like it's been done by a total novice with no eye at all for layout and design
The files were still uploading they should all be ok now wink
Try CTRL F5 as there are a few bugs in the style sheet being fixed, they should all look lovely now but if you are seeing something without a style sheet please post a picture.

I'm with spideyuk, I dont see the sense in having to scroll down to to see the 'quick information' what's quick about it now?
I must say that when it comes to changes you cant please everybody.

It's rubbish.
When I open a profile all I get is the picture, the 'xxxx is feeling grumpy' bit and a 'contact me' box.
It's mostly empty space. No use to me at all. Why has it been changed to very very much worse than it was? You really shouldn't have to scroll to get at the information.
As I said - rubbish.
In edit - you can hardly call it Quick Information when you have to scroll almost to the bottom to se it. banghead
I quite like it :-)
Try Changing your theme, the initial page is set to Pink which does show a lot of space, but if you have a scroll through the themes tab there are some great ones in there. I actually have long legs for once on my profile, have a look wink
:giggle: I do make myself chuckle at times
My theme is green - it should work with ANY theme.
Is there supposed to be all that space? What was it supposed to look like?
I assume I got what was intended - I certainly shouldn't have to change my settings to make it work. But then I have no idea what it is supposed to look like. dunno
I have no strong feelings either way about the new format in general but I have several individual comments, most of which are not earth shatteringly important:
- The names on the bottom line of "Friends" have been cut off.
- I agree with the earlier comments that it would have been better to place the basic information about a profile (the "Quick Info") above "About Me" and "Photos" to avoid the need to scroll down as your first action each time the "About me" contains more than a couple of lines.
- The choice of colour of the thin line surrounding the boxes, pale blue (for males) and pale green (for couples), has been retained. There must have been better options to make identification easier - even for those of us who are not colour blind.
- Some of the new colour schemes make reading the nicknames in the "Quick Comments" and "News Feed" very difficult, eg a white name against a pale green backgound.
Changing the theme (not that I wanted a different theme in the first place) didn't make any difference.
Is there supposed to be all that space?
Can I have an option to set it back to how it was please.
I think there are other additions on the way - that may account for the space.
Something I have just noticed is its now difficult to tell the way the profile holder is feeling today
i.e. Happy, Sad, Horny etc etc ....
Before it was simples but no so now :-)

Surely the quick imformation should be at the top? It's all very pretties but, I can't tell who has got Extras and who hasn't anymore, no more secret perving for me :lol2: And on that note as the option to make your profile different as an Extras member is now available to all, what are Extra's members going to be getting instead?
Personally I liked mine the way it was, can we just have a plain option, ie No style?

What Varca said +1
This looks like it's been designed by and for teens on some social networking site. Visually a disaster, offering a cluttered look and feel. Someone needs to be sent on a course for Human Machine Interface specification.
Dont like it .......too much scrolling around. 99% of people go to the important bit, which is basic details and location - and its at the bottom??.
Well I like the fact you can change your profile background but many dont look good as text isnt sharp enough ie woman with legs. Having the information about the person at the bottom is a pain as thats the bit I read................... but great idea chaps

Mmmm? Perhaps it's a sign that it hadn't been finished or completely rationalized yet. It which case why do it in this ridiculous piecemeal fashion? It's a nonsense to expect people to have to "choose a theme" in order to make it look like it works when it's clear that doesn't. It's all very well introducing new themes and pretty colours, but there is a fundamental problem with the site which is that it lacks functionality. Site design by trial and error is insulting to the membership and irritating to the faithful users.
I know that it always seems like I'm whinging about the site, but each time I come on it looks worse and worse, and all I see are people complaining about predictable issues, some of which I and others have already raised. For the site to work there needs to be a concept, there doesn't appear to be one.
To dismiss peoples' comments as simply an example of not liking change is disrespectful (not directed at you by the way Nola). People do not like change without reason, change without gain or benefit. Any changes should improve the site experience, instead it's destroying what once was acceptable into something that is frankly a mess. Sorry I don't mean to be rude but somebody has to say something before it gets any worse.
I'm experienced in graphic design, interface design, and web design. This legoland excuse for a website is really starting to irritate. The inconsistencies, the boxiness, the crude childish colours, lack of proper navigation, lack of logical layout and ergonomic consideration is ruining what is fundamentally good underneath, but the lack of structure and the constant "arbitrary" changes has totally destroyed the experience.
This isn't meant to be as negative as it may sound, but it's frustrating seeing this happen to a once great site. It is possible to fix but requires those, who are able, to listen. There are many threads already about the number of people who no longer come to the site, I come much less than I did, and if this trend is ignored it is possible that there will be far less.

First microsoft did it with their Office 2007 suite then they did it with Windows 7. Why change something that already is perfectly ok. (Well perhaps vista needed changing, loads of people said it needed changing to me. Personally I don't know I always used xp)
Yes I hate change and at my age I do not want to learn things all over again.
I suppose you can call me an old curmudgeon, my wife always does as well as grumpy old git, miserable sod and randy old bastard (well one out of 3 isn't bad, if she only knew).
Complaining over and apologies to all those who have put the hard work into the re-design.
I should really have a good look at it before I pass comment.
So I will be back and when I have had a good look I will make some more constructive comments instead of sounding like what my wife knows I already am.
Actually, I retract my previous statement... the profiles look more like myspace now...
Is there any chance of an "SH Classic" theme... just for those of us who were perfectly happy with the old format.
Are the themes limited to Extras people?
If so, the stupid profile layout needs fixing for the rest of us.
Any chance of someone putting up a screen shot of what the profile is supposed to look like?
I like it - the purple one is cool  It matches my bum ring :rascal:
You could almost make a list on here in advance of members who are gonna whine every time SH move a full stop on a page :rascal: And then after 7 days, it's all forgotten as then they find something else to whinge about - boring fart spawn of the devil's poo bum bandits I say! lol
It's the 'mice and cheese' thing again - although there's another one now called 'my iceberg is melting. Google is your friend ;)
