Although only a wee nipper for most of the eighties some of my favourite things still come from this marvellous decade, such as:
1. Certain cult films - including ferris Beuler's day off (which is showing on itv2 now) and the film which inspired our nic! (I'm sure most of you have sussed it!)
2. AHA - how fit was Morten Harkett?
So what did you love about the eighties?

Well it's sort of true. In the 1960's I was a fresh young animal, I slept with anyone and everyone I could find, (and there were lots, this was the sixties), I was the proverbial Tour Guide / DJ / and watersports instructor and life was a BALL. I travelled the world and thought the fun would last forever. I shouldn't complain, I lived enough life for a lifetime.
In the 1970's I became a junior executive and started to make my mark. In 1976 I got married, and in 1977 I became a Director.
In the 1980's all the fun stopped, the work became work, the money rolled in alright, the houses got bigger and the time off became limited. Towards the end of the decade the sex started to diminish, but I started to feel like a machine and I didn't have any fun.
I didn't have any fun in the 1990's either, but at least by then I'd reduced my life to a size I could understand. I have GREAT hopes for the millennium, there is already a real change in the way I'm living my life and I'm intending to do it more if I live.
Oooo things I loved... biggrin
The Human League & Culture Club...
Themed pubs..
Dirty Dancing...
Popping my cherry lol..
 But oh my god the hairstyles.
good for you, keep it real!
What I loved most about the 80s was changing jobs and suddenly being 5 times richer than I was before. By 1984 I was skint, but boy, did I have fun getting there biggrin

being able to make love all night long with out stopping, pisses me off so much now that i have to take a five minute break every five hours.
Being born? Being a teenager? Now I feel so fecking ancient I want to sit in a corner and cry.
Ahhhhhhhhhh the 80's, getting married, having kids, taking shite holidays in Blackpool cos that's all we could afford, never having any money and living on egg n chips. Those were the days smile
