:shock: :D :shock: :Dahhh.. *points up the thread to the bit where it says about shutting the pc down and it doesn't matter coz it's not real* see we got it all wrong peeps.. we've been taking meeting up with people and place adds "so seriously" and forgetting that SH is for winding each other up. To all those who've placed adds and sorted out meets which have then failed to turn up... you now know why! You were taking it all so seriously!! :lol:

if you look at the threads about "to the timewasters" I think yu will find you aren't alone.
sadly there are far too many arseholes around willing to spoil it for the rest (only need to look at all the press this section of life gets).
Don;t give up, not everyone is an AH. I think it was Angel who said she had 200 replies and mainly from idiots... bad as that is, there's 6000 people on here... most of whom seem to be able to read and understand!

I was out for dinner with a well known musician a couple of weeks back.
I'm used to the attention he gets when we are out, but I forgot to mention it to my date. We went to eat in a restaurant and from the moment we walked in, eyes were on him/us. After a while the table next to us passed a menu over and asked if he would sign it, to which he refused saying "at least let us finish our meal." The guy got arsey so eventually my friend gave in and said "if it means that much to you, you'll wait" and then turned to us an apologised to us for the unwelcome attention.
My date leant over and said "now you know what it's like to be a woman."
He said "very true, but exchange tits and a fanny for money and fame, the results much the same don't you think?"
She said "you chose fame, and while I don't regret being a Woman, I didn't choose to be one."

Now I doubt there's a woman here who'd disagree with what she said. So next time you place an add (M or F) just don't forget, you are choosing fame and all that comes with it. :P

I'd like to chat to more but that's the issue, if it appears you are a single male (and I say appears coz I've never stated that) most don't even want to chat lol. What I get pee'd off about is that this kind of site could be so much more if only those who used it, were genuine. To many think it's all a game and can shut down the PC and it doesn't matter anymore.
I like the bit about posting pics on some porn site (lol) I can't see mine ever making it lol.

hardly I agree with you Barney... I've seen loads of adds which have sed "we want genuine people" who have then proved to be less than genuine themselves. I'm totaly pee'd off with what really is turning out to be a place for couples and single females. If you are single male (or seem to be) forget it.
The chatroom is worse (lol) than the adds! There, if you ask several times to chat to someone and get ignored so you pm incase they missed it you then get flamed. How about, along with the no pm'ing without asking rule is an "if someone asks, bloody well respond even if it's no thanks" rule.
As for adds... I'd not waste your time Barney... I'd say it is easier to meet someone in Tesco's than on the Net
