I have been away from Scotland far too long!!! is ages since I heard someone call a sarnie a piece biggrin
when I first moved south the looks I got when I said I want a piece and ham :D
Oh and when I was asked where glasses were and I said in the press :D
I dont like sweet things in a sandwich, but do like them on a bikkie... my fave sarnie is cold lasange biggrin
Starch can be so scracthy.. dont use it on your sheets or you will get friction burns biggrin
I am sat here grinning and remembering the best cam I ever saw on here...lol
was a friend of mine doing his ironing on cam.. it was sooooo funny :D
I read many forums on various websites, and have to say that its not very often a thread stays on topic, whether its about money problems, swinging, problems with children etc...
I have to say that I often think of it like a conversation in a pub... how often do you start talking about 1 thing and end up with another...
Tis life.... biggrin
I am sat here with a fast evaporating bottle of Jaques Cidar biggrin
I started to get ready for my holiday at the end of the month.. the last couple of months I have been buying books for it... I think I may have just gone a bit over the top.. even for me redface
The pile beside my case is now at 29!!! I do love to read...lol bit think it may take more than 2 weeks to read them all :D
My main hard limit is that I wont have any silly farm, town, fish etc games on facebook... biggrin
There are several things that were on my list originally, but over the last few years I have tried most things once... I wont say what or I shall end up all unecessary redface
the usual no no's do apply though.....
is still showing this~~

on my screen....
and wasnt me cos I have only logged on a few mins ago biggrin
Yes is definatly time to be stopping feeding foxes, and also maybe time for a major cull!!
The damage a fox can do is awful!!! If they get in with livestock such as chickens, rabbits, young lambs they will just kill for the sake of it...
There is nothing worse than walking down to hen coop to find 10 hens dead, 8 nearly dead and the other 2 so traumatised that they never laid another egg sad
And as for finding that a fox has managed to get through the wire on a rabbit hutch and killed the doe inside and you are left to hand rear 3 kittens just a week old!! :(
I just dont get it....
My teens sometimes have it on at teatime, and I watch it while getting dinner cooked... I dont get that peeps have a system... but dont seem to get that its a total random thing... biggrin
I am fed up with the constant adverts....
And the merchandising!!! Tescos here has flags all over the place, stickers on the floor and even bread rolls with red crosses on them!!!
My Very Proud to be Scottish children are even more fed up!!(my son is wanting to get a Saltire to stick on the front door!!!) And they keep nagging at me for moving them south of the border as well!!! biggrin

what has made me smile - then laugh very loudly.... was when on facebook I looked at a recommended friend... and realsied that is a chap from here... recommended by a very vanilla friend ( well so i thought) biggrin
Ohh I hope is same for me, I dont mind some pain.... :angel: but there is a limit...lol
~~~~ imagines the doctors face if I call out my safe word lol
I have had one for nearly 4 years... All I can say is that if you have one fitted make sure you have someone to drive you home!!! I didnt - they wouldnt let me leave the hospital for several hours as I nearly passed out from the pain!! Was like contractions for about 2 weeks!!
I will admit that it has been very good since did its job and stopped the symptons I was having, but am also dreading it being taken out sad
I have a saying that sums it all up....
Of all the things I have lost.... Its my mind I miss the most!!!
wink
I would let them in, they wouldnt know that I was alone, how would they know that I didnt have my other half asleep in bed as they were on shift work, for instance.
A few years ago I helped my parents to run thier guest house, and on several times they were away on mainland and I had people knock on the door looking for a bed, so I was alone in the house. It never crossed my mind to be scared.. biggrin
~~~~~~goes to book loads of plane trips .... :angel:
The idea of loads boobie checks innocent
ohhhh wondered if this thread was about supernumerary nipples....
was going to say i have 3!! biggrin
~~~~wanders back out.....
I read this thread and at first wasnt going to post, I was feeling very ~~bleugh~~ at time ( is only way to describe it)..
I then went to doc's - long story not for public airing.. and have been signed off work with depression... I then remembered some comments I had read about wether people should be on here with things like depression - and to be honest at first thought I should take a back step from SH..
Then I realised what wonderful friends I have on here, who in the last few weeks have been very supportive, and after a few days away, I have realised that I am for staying smile
this is a great site for stories wink
ohhh and I LOVE postsecrets..... have you seen this video?
Mine has to be walking along canel street with about 18 others on way to a fetish club in Manchester.. What a laugh we all had....
Ohhh and in the hotel... when the person i was sharing a room with lost the key card 4 times!!! biggrin
I would never share my toothbrush... and keep a very close eye on it biggrin
slightly off subject.... :D one day not long after my husband left me, I found out he had lied to me and did have someone else... I went to drop kids off at his for the weekend.... and asked if I could use his loo.... I took the opportunity to use his toothbrush to clean the rim of his loo :D....
was ages later I confessed to my mum... and she said she had done the same as me when she had dropped the kids off :D
Is there anything else happening in the world today?
There doesnt seem to have been another news item all day...
Has the volcano gone out yet?
Did the oil leak stop?
Repotting some herb plants that I bought yesterday....
2 yummy smelling scented sages, honey melon and tangerine... they really do smell like thier names biggrin
I know...I know... small things please small minds :D
~~~another buyer of baby wipes signing in biggrin
My mum did ask a while back why I keep buying them, since my kids are all grwon up now :D
I just said they are very handy to have around... for cleaning shoes, sticky patches and stuff :D
I was thinking about this subject the other day on a 4 hour drive home, there was only awful dance music on radio 1 :twisted: so I put radio 2 on ( shock looks I now can see from peeps who know what I love to listen too biggrin)
And there was a thing about british song writers.. they played many tracks that I recognised within a couple of notes.. made me think what an amazing thing our brain is to hold this information!!!
And in answer to the original question...
The River... Springsteen... Instantly recognizable, the hairs on back of my arms go on end instantly
November Rain - Guns n Roses.... same as above...
I could now go on about music all afternoon...lol but had better go do the school run :D
