The other day my daughters laptop died sad and the man at shop has found that the motherboard died :S
She wants a new one - hopefully insurance should help - cos she dropped it a few weeks back and the man at shop says that may be why..
ok... time to get to the point!! She wants a Mac Book !!! £849 :eeek: I was thinking about half that much!!!
so I have been trying to do the compare thingy, I am not the most techy minded person...
I have an Advent - but she says she doesnt want one... was a toshiba that died.. so that is out too..
I have been looking at Acer and HP.. are they any good or is there a better make for about that price
sorry to waffle on - but I am getting grief from said teen!!!
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr..... I want to know... why.. when daughter number 1's laptop wont turn on its my fault!! and what the heck am I supposed to do at 8pm!!!!
I am sure that as a teen I was so full of stress n anxt!!
So far I have plums in brandy, plums in vodka, brambles in vodka and passionfruit in brandy biggrin
I am counting the days... and have been making my cards and boozy fruit to be given as pressies... biggrin
I dont think that people changing at the beach etc in front of kids is wrong, its not like the peeps changing are doing it for any reason other than to get in or out of water.. on my recent holiday back up in Scotland, my kids and friends of ours spent most days in water, and changing in or out of wetsuits, and there is no real place for modesty when battling with a wet wetsuit!! biggrin
Thank you for sharing your special things...
My brother is getting married in October and I am going to make him and his new wife a box for them to keep special bits n bobs in...
Ohh Kaz.. I am very sentimental, and keep everything biggrin Mum is like me as well, we have been talking about it and decided that we have a memory house :D as there are so many things here we cant part with, but they have no monetry value.
What a great idea they are... A great way to remember special things and special people.. they can be posh boxes bought for the purpose or homemade ones..
Some of you know that my mum has a very nasty cancer and last night we went to a local cancer support group meeting and a lady was giving a talk about making memory boxes for the family. I had only really seen the empty ones in shops and today I have been thinking of things I would put in one to say something about who I am.
I would probably need 2!!
One for the nawty minxy biggrin
and one for mummy minxy :D
What 10 things would you put in yours to start with?
my 10 are...
A cd of some of my fave songs
A photo album of the daft pics of me.. you know - the ones you cringe about when kids see them :D
My fave mary berry cookbook
The first embroidary I stitched
The wristbands from when my babies were born
My ticket stubbs from assorted gigs over the years :D
A log - I have an obesession as to where to get firewood from (and have for many years :D )
A lindt choccy bunny :D
Clinique happy perfume bottle
A pressed rosemary sprig..
this is my mummy box..:D
so what would you put in one?
Thank you for the link Foxy, I have sent the online application form, shall report back if I hear anything.. I have friends in Scotland who have had solar panels for about 15 years and their leccy bills are so low now.

Kez has her nipples pierced and I can make her cum just by playing with them alone. wink

I am same as your kez biggrin ... my nipples are now sooooo sensative... it was the best thing I ever did having them both done and would recommend it...
When I was about 16 I had a boyfriend who lived for cricket and I didnt really know much about it, but as you do at that age you watch and pretend biggrin...
well we were watching a test match on tv with some of his friends and at the end of the days play the commentator made a comment about the nightwatchman... and me pipes up... thats a bit crap making him go do another job after playing today redface
I know now much more and enjoy cricket very much :D

I am in Scotland just now - on Isle of Islay and deisel is 9 and petrol is 9!!! Tis daylight robbery!!
I get also get annoyed that things come to me in South Humberside... I am in North Lincolnshire!!
as for the postcode thing... It depends how identifiable you want to be if in a rural area... In the last 2 houses before I moved to North Lincs, In Scotland the houses had unique postcodes due to location!!
yes I did...... seeing my mum having to use her oxygen tank for first time just cos she had gone up the stairs sad
I think that sometimes people need to be able to 'post thier woes' cos I know I do...
I have had a hard few months with a lot of mega crap going on and would be good sometimes to have a place to say - yes somat made me cry today... its not always I want to rant.. sometimes not something I have smiled about..
Maybe a forum like this isnt a good place for it - but a wee thread like this dont take up too much space..
xx
well i have been smiling today, mainly because I am now on road to recovery after being not so good for a couple of months... Is like there is light at the end of the tunnel now
smile
what about mini scotch eggs made with quails eggs, they are fairly easy to make and look very impressive.
I know you said 1 suggestion each..lol
But also mini fahita wraps are very popular and not very expensive to make.
When I was living in Scotland it once said that some people were 5 miles from me, But that was as the crow flies... it was 5 miles across a sea loch, but nearer 50 miles by road!!
