I never had and problems with my foreskin until my late teens - it was fine when I was soft, but when hard the foreskin wouldn't pull back all the way easily, and when it did it was quit painfull, like my helmet was being strangled. I only really noticed it was a problem when I became more sexually active at the age of 19.
Firstly I had my frenum snipped to see if it would help loosen up the foreskin - it didn't, so I ended up with the full roundhead job when I was 20.
Never looked back since (I'm now 31) - it looks better (only slight scarring), and feels so much cleaner and more hygenic. I've not noticed any loss of sensation, but the few times I had sex before being circumcised it was too painful to really notice anything else, so I really don't feel like I'm missing out at all. The only time I ever get a loss of sensation is when using condoms, which I've overcome by being very selective about which brands I use. I get lots of compliments on how nice it looks, which is always nice...
