It was our first munch last night and it was good to meet with friends old and new. After many years I can now put faces to names. Thanks to the organisers, it was a fantastic night. I hope we will all meet up again soon.

If you are really woried about being on the scene and keeping safe use condoms and go to the GUM clinic on a regular basis., you can have a routine screen anytime whether you think you have a problem or not. They know whats going around in which areas and tell you how to avoid it. And the condoms are free. They dont judge you for your lifestyle, they just look out for your health like any health care service.

Because I am such an active member of the swinging community I decided it would be good for me to attend the GUM clinic on a regular basis to make sure I stayed safe. It was they who recommended the Hep B vaccine and have administered the course. (I go for my antibodie count on Friday) It has been three injections over 3 months, then wait six weeks for the test.
The clinic is also recommending the use of condoms for oral sex and has supplied me with fruit flavoured condoms for free. (Really not sure if I will make use of them as I am not sure guys will be too keen on been asked to use them.)
I just wanted people to know you can go somewhere other than your GP for the vaccine.

Well it's the weekend starting tomorrow and so the fun begins again. I went to the launch of a new club, The Blues Rooms, in Dewsbury last weekend and am considering going back there again on Friday 6th. Is anyone else planning to go, because if you are we could meet up and have a mini munch.

I am sorry but I don't reply to all the people who respond to my add. The reason being I am one of the elusive single females. I have had an add up for less than a week, and had over 14,000 hits and over 200 replies. There is no way I can reply to them all. Most just get a quick glance to see if the contain an add number and are local to me. Which is what I asked for in my advert. The rest are binned. If it sounds harsh I am sorry but to reply to all would take hours each day.

I lost mine age 15 to a guy I married a few years later. We used to go to a local dance and sneak out down to the local naturalist site and use the bird hide. Don't know if it's still there. We split up over 18 years ago but we are still good mates. He has moved out to Portugal and so is good for cheap holidays.

Thanks Sappho and Sgt for welcoming me to the forum. wkdCPL thought going to clubs COULD become addictive. In my case they definately are I went last night and just wish I was back there now. Can't wait to go back next weekend. It is so good to be among like minded people who are relaxed and enjoying themselves, whether they are playing or not. Rather like this forum really.

I have just recently started going to clubs and I find them very friendly and welcoming. I must admit that so far I have only gone on couples nights but still its not pushy or threatening. The staff keep things under control. Often two couples go together on a first visit so at least there is someone you know. As others have said chat a while and see what you think is the best option for you.
