I totally love playing with words, using both non-rude and rude double entendres to keep people on their toes as to what you meant, or catch them out later if they thought you were meaning one thing. Great fun when flirting.
And I would consider "hot" to mean looking very sexy. There's all sorts of ways of saying someone is attractive and I tend to pick one depending on the way they're attractive - there's pretty, beautiful, gorgeous, cute, hot, sexy, amazing, and any number of variations or more versions of those; then just coming out with "wow!" when you're truely gobsmacked and someone looks so hot you want to rip their clothes off right there and then and do unspeakable things to them.
Matrix: Religious analogy certainly. Particularly more so once you've seen no's 2 and 3. Inspired hundreds of adverts to use the same slow-mo effect while the camera was moving around in real-time, aka bullet-time as they coined the phrase.
no.2 overdid the CGI and made it look too unreal in the fight scenes and elsewhere; no.3 was better in this respect and has one-hell-of-an-awesome car chase sequence (but still beaten for intensity and cool-ness by the original French (subtitled) version of Taxi, or Ronin, or maybe Bullett, for me).
If only Keanu and Carrie-Ann Moss could emote better when they speak their lines. Maybe some of it was on purpose. But - ah.. Oh well.
Still a breakthrough film, in effects and technology (not all that much in ideas/storyline, if you really know films/books-they-were-based-on).
Happy birthday Helen.
Have fun on whatever you might have planned now or soon (oo-er missus! cough cough...).
You know I think this is my first new post since the site settled a bit after the new owner. All for you!
Well, I saw one of you... Hi Mike.
I did this recently - I came back from a long weekend realising I hadn't cum in about 4 or 5 days which was a rare thing indeed. So I decided to save it up, see how long I could go. I managed 9 days in the end. Was it worth it for the subsequent eruption and record-breaking quantity and distance? Mm... Debatable. (mass-debatable? groan..).
Hi,
I never confirmed cos a) It had slipped my mind in the last week or so - although I'd been remembering about it up til then, and b) I wasn't quite sure when/if I was going.
I'm gonna be on my way up there soon - suspect I'll miss any arranged SH meets but if anyone reads this not too late, you're welcome to say hi to me and if I see anyone I recognise I'll obviously say hi too.
Probably not going to the after-party - had also thought of going to Club Rub this month (not been there before) but I suspect it'll be a little empty. Not that being quieter is too bad as you can chat more easily, but maybe I'll wait to next month's one.
Well I just had a very friendly pm saying there's a munch in Bristol on the 22nd. I have a couple of friends in Bristol I've not seen in a while, but I think it's better if I suggest the 29th then.
I hope I live somewhere nice enough by then (and not too cramped) that I can invite people back for a party til the early hours, maybe after an evening in a nice pub somewhere, maybe an event earlier. Something like that. Nothing set in concrete yet.
Well I just took the test and am disappointed to find out I only got % (which I copied and pasted instead of typing out); some areas I ticked tonnes, several others I didn't tick so many. I so wanted to add another couple of boxes though; the button to get to the test itself doesn't work on my Opera and I was seriously thinking about writing some user javascript to fix it or fixing the code on the page and emailing the author about it. In the "I Know" section near the bottom I ticked nearly every box (C++, Unix,...). But what is a THAC0? A computer?
So I run a web browser that's too geeky to do the test... (come on, if you use it you gotta agree - great web browser but definitely a bit geeky with the level of what it can do - customising etc.)
I'd be more than up for coming again - it's vaguely close to my 30th birthday (well, same month anyway) and I'm not quite sure what I'm doing for that yet; but can you put me down please. If I change my mind I'll let you know.
Ok, it kind of looks like Pascal - or er.. (no experience at all with it but I'd guess..) Delphi - what with it being Windows-ey. Actually the first thing that sprung to mind was Modula-2/3 (taught at colleg/uni respectively to start with, by chance), being the only ":=" language I've programmed in for any length of time.
Was any of this started off by the Sci-Fi channel's survey about how many of us are geeks - I read an article in the free London Underground paper Metro today about geek-ness referring to it.
Well I've become a lot more confident since a) I finished uni and b) even more so, since I joined up here. Partly through chatting to people on the chatroom/in here and opening up (which it's easier to do online); partly through just going out and saying hi to new people (I'm not just talking about with a swinging agenda) and partly through having made some good friends who helped me come out of my shell more. It should be easier with your partner there to help you, you probably feel more confident with him around; but don't let that be part of the problem (as in don't let him do all the talking, or maybe he can help bring you into things a bit more rather than just taking charge all the time which might(??) be happening). How abouts if he does some of the initial work introducing you to people if you're really that shy then leaves you prompts to answer questions, ask them and so on. Gradually at first.
I might be talking a pile of poo and I hope I'm not being patronising, I had to guess just how shy you are; but good luck.
I was PVC'd up - black Jeans (just bought them the Tuesday before, really nice), a mesh short-sleeved top with lace-up at the neck at the front that was PVC too and pvc edged; and just ordinary shoes (I kinda realised on the way up there that they were the one bit of my outfit that didn't quite fit so well, but had - typically bloke-like - completely forgotten about). I don't own anything other than shoes and casual trainers, both black, but not sure whether the heavy boots are quite my thing. Definitely not the massive platforms you get with some. Let me know if you're going next time or maybe I will you, and we can introduce ourselves.
Now I'm desparately trying to think who else there was with red hair - I chatted to one lovely girl who didn't match your description otherwise but had kind of auburn red long hair. Are you going to the expo thing/ball/whatever this weekend? Anyone else?
Er... Thinks... Maybe I do remember you walking past once or twice.. Not sure. The roses rings a bell.
I may well have noticed you in the dungeon as I did go take a look a few times at what and who was happening there but spent more of my time chatting to people at the bar
Take a look at my ad if you want to see if you can remember me.
I would go and pick the one with the wobbly wheel!

She was winning the trolley race by a good length and a half when she realised it didn't have any brakes.

The prize was one trolley full of groceries. They didn't say how big the trolley had to be!

Aarghhh! Where's the bodyshell gone? I knew the warranty on these new Lada's wasn't worth the paper it was printed on!
1] - sorry, had to pick a make
or
the slogan: "Portaprison - keeps your inmates secure while on the move"
That enough yet???
Mm I rather like the look of this one actually. Is that latex, or leather, or what? You can see the shine
No, actually.
(err... so that's why I'm here reading your post and replying to it at - actually I've been doing washing, swapping to my brand new duvet - love the feel of brand new bedlinen, browsing the adverts, , and other inane boring stuff you really don't need to know about - oh, and feeling sexy wearing some of my nice gear)
