i recently had a text conversation with a friend, and we was arranging to meet.
She put ".... so we could meet at (location deleted for security reasons) and hit the sub with the log fire
obviously she meant pub, or did she? answers on a postcard to....
I stumble and stammer when im being nice, let alone being less than polite, you dirty...erm er person
Had the pleasure of meeting him, he was a genuine guy who loved what he did, and showed it in the way he drove, he had an awesome talent and I for one, will miss watching him drive
i have nothing to say that will make a difference, but id just like to say thinking of all concerned, and glad your daughter has some truly wonderful people around her, not evertone is so lucky to have friends like that
My best mate and his wife thinks im a few sandwiches short of a picnic, he likes kelly brook, whoever is on page 3 that day, the obvious ones
i like phillippa forrester, cos she doesnt take it all too serious, i like charlotte church cos she has curves and refuses to become a stick insect , i like jo frost, purely cos of the way she askes if you have been naughty, i like lorraine kelly cos there is something i dont quite know what, i like sarah beeny cos she looks like filth (to me) and wears leather..
id rather be laughed at for the variety of women that attracts me, then be stuck with one stereotype like rod stuart - yes blondes are lovely, but but he has missed out on brunetts
there, now i have embarrassed myself, i will let you carry on lmao
Glad to have you back JL, have missed you
there, be grateful, i dont often do soppy, take advantage
See too many good ones to say which is my fave
Seen:
AC/DC (twice) The Eagles (twice) steely dan, robbie williams (twice) simple minds, katie melua, echo and the bunnymen, hayseed dixie, paul weller, rolf harris, the alarm, moby, the darkness, and a few others, some different ones in there, all good smile
Listening to the radio today, they reported on Richard Whitelys remembrance service, and how it wasnt conventional, for example, people wearing bright colours, people wearing t-shirts with his face on them etc
They then went on to discuss, and have a phone-in, about planning alternative funerals, as such, it gave me food for thought.
To begin with, id like a prayer, as a nod of respect to the man upstairs, then id like everyone everyone to sing 'if you're happy and you know it clap your hands', as im sure that would be quite a scene in the church.
Id also like 'Going Underground' by the Jam, Another one bites the dust' by Queen, 'Return to sender' by Elvis and as my coffin is lowered, 'My way' by Frank Sinatra.
I dont want anyone to bring flowers, id like everyone to wear England football shirts, and if not English, the shirt of their nation
Why should it be mouning a passing, why not celebrate a life?
Am i wrong in wanting this?
Answers on a postcard....
I dont like the direction in which this country is going, there are far too many policies i dont agree with, but such is life
during my 20s, i worked on building sites, and in a factory, wasnt happy with my life, but was in a rut and got on with it
i turned 30, and sat and thought about what i want, and how i would get it, i still dont have a clue, but i am now in a good job, which, when work allows, pays well (thats my doing, i work for an agency) i still know what i want, still have no idea how to get it
Because of the fact i have an american father (no laughing at the back) im sure i can try my luck stateside, but i dont want to, im an Englishman, this is where i was born and raised, and whilst id love to see the world, and what it offers, this is home, and home is where the heart is
yes, the government may impose things on us we dont like, but we have relative free speech, and dont have any of the problems others do - Iraq, Thailand (tsunami) China Wales (that was for minx's benefit, if she has read this far)
if you are as English as you like to think you are, tackle this the English way - stand and face the problem, dont run away, if you want it bad enough, you will get it, its out there, you just have to make it happen
thanks to anyone staying this long, hope i havent bored you too much
I wont commit myself at the mo, but im not against being there, i have 6 months to get all my innocculations sorted, as visiting foreign countries can be a bit hazardous, but yeah, put my name down as a provisional smile
i am so sorry to hear what happened, i hope moo makes a quick recovery, and i hope you do too, he has taken the physical beating, but you have had the mental one, im sure you know you have friends you can talk to, my pm is always open to you if you ever want to
I have been in a similar situation, wheras i was in no way going to walk by and see a man, no wrong word, male, hit a woman, i dont go looking for trouble, just like moo, but as soon as the guy hit her, i got involved, then so did 2 of his mates who were standing watching, this sounds selfish, but thankfully i didnt suffer too much
i wouldnt be surprised if knowing what he now knows, he would still go and help someone, i know i would, these shitbags should never get away with it
Thank you maia, your reply has been forwarded to my therapist
ok, its a lie, im still preparing for the interview phase for the recruitment of a therapist
xxxxxx
