Thanks for understanding, in these days of general parania of the populus, its even possible for people to be so freaked that they report to the police

Speaking of which can anyone refer me to a thread dealing with how to cope with the police if they turn up at a dogging site?
Could it be possible that some car parks are technically not "public places" if they are not publicly owned (eg forestry commission) .. like a road, town carpark is, etc ?

Your predicament possibly sounds like one of quintessential pleasures of dogging .. if its too easy .. its no fun! ..lol.
Not everything in life has to be a sure thing, I'd say.
Perhaps the guys didnt approach because, hard to believe I know,t they were not there dogging ?
Its not so easy for guys to decide to approach, you know, if they get it wrong, can be a tricky situation.

A huge window of opportunity exists me thinks
1) Fully appreciate this moment in which so few things constrain what you can choose to do. Freedom like this is SO underated, especially in a world where some people think democracy = freedom
2) After such a time commited to one thing, dont rush into somthing similar.
3) Combine (1) + (2) by going travelling, seasonal work abroad. Worldly wisdom is also underated
