The premier league are proposing selling fixtures to 5 citys around the world, 2 fixtures to be played in each city. The top 5 clubs will be seeded so they don't play each other.
The premier league proposal will make the league unfair with the possibalty of a team in the religation dog fight having to play a top 5 team 3 times in a season, were all their rivals don't. :censored:
This plainly is not fair the old saying of "you end up in the league where you deserve" will no longer be true. All for the greed of the chairman and owners of the clubs.

:thumbup: When we first joined here a few months back, we were seaching in photo adds and found a face and cock picture of a chap who lives only a couple of hundred yards down the road from us. :shock: Although not friends as such, we are on speaking terms with him and his girl friend (he had a single mans profile). Of course we have not said a word of this to anyone, it's up to him what he does with or with out his girlfriend, it's not for us to judge him.
We live a village of less than 1000 population and we found this discovery a tad uncomfterable, this is one of the reasons although not the only reason why we have not posted pictures as yet.
He is not our type so even if he didn't live in our village and he was single we wouldn't play with him. How ever even if he was our type and he was single he lives too close to us, for us to be comfterable with.
Have you ever found someone that you know on here? Would you swing with people you know in the vanilla world but found on here? Can people be too close distance wise for you to play with?

I don't find this offensive. But if this was a white man doing this I think I would be very uncomfortable. I think context and who is saying the words is very important as to weather a word is offensive.
Should just the colour of ones skin determine whether this is offensive or not? I am sorry but I think it does not matter one hoot, if it is said from a white man to a black man, or the other way around!!
But we now live in a country where the race card is used on a daily basis, and I think the rules should be applied to everyone, and forget about the colour of the skin! I work with an Asian and he does not give a toss about the word, and nor does any of his family. The only people who seem to bother are the Liberal Guardian reader types, who have nothing to do on a Monday morning.
Most of the times I have heard the word it has been used in a derogative term in so called jokes, mostly fairly sick, and being shouted by white chav boys. I don't belive I have ever heard that word used in a positive or even a neutral way, when aimed at one person to another.

To be honest I wouldn't care if she was not British I would still be disgusted. Although if it was someone not from the west it is very unlikely to have even 2 inches of news print and probably nothing on the airwaves so would not have heard about it.
Most of the big religions start off with the message of love and peace. And this message gets screwed up by zealots and the people in power to have control over the people. But as I said before religion do change, popes no longer ride to war on horseback, there is no Spanish inquisition and we don't invade countries to make convert them as Christians now we only do it to get the oil. But for them to change you have got to say its wrong. If you just say "well I don't like it but that’s the law their so that’s fair enough" nothing will ever change.
We may have tiny voice in the big scheme of things but it's a voice millions on the plant would love to have.
Bit off topic this but I believe voting in this country should be compulsory with an option on the ballot paper of being none of the above. (It would probably win) Better idea than compulsory ID cards that’s for sure.

Indeed. The irony of oppressing another countrys right to its own culture and justice system in the name of freedom escapes me not one bit.
We are talking about the area of the world known as the birth place of civilisation. The culture and religion they had died/evolved. All cultures and most religions change over time some die eventually weather you like it or not things change.
There is no oppression of the countries in question; we sell a lot of them arms actively supporting the regimes. If you think its ok for people who speak out about their own oppression to be tortured and often killed, even before they get to a Mickey Mouse court, because it’s part of their culture or religion (which often it isn’t) it’s a sad day for human kind.
A human being, a fellow man or woman being tortured and killed because maybe they want to become a Christian or some other stupid thing is wrong. If you don't stand up and say its wrong it just carries on.
I don't believe freedom for freedoms sake. But if we didn't in the past stand up and say something is wrong we would have a swastika on the flag of Europe now.
There was a thread on here a little while ago on female circumcision that is prevalent in parts of Africa and is happening here as well, your augment says it’s their culture so it’s ok. It’s wrong and we should say something. Inca tribes used to have human sacrifices. If they were still around that would be ok its part of their religion. What a load of bollox. Never seen an eye water like that before As a general rule I forgive easly and mostly forget. I try not to hold a grudge.
I run a shop and a few years back I caught a man in his 50s who lives in my village stealing videos from my shop. I didn't call the police, but I banned him from my shop, told all the other shop owners in the village and my friends what he had done so they could keep an eye on him. A few weeks later he got caught stealing from the village shop and got banned from there also.
This spring in the pub he came up to me and begged for forgiveness, and saying how sorry he was and how at the time he was in a very bad place, on pescription drugs and just split from his woman,although he said that was no excuse. Now he is happy got a job and life is a lot better.
To cut a long story short I forgave him and he sometimes come in my shop but I do watch him closer than any of my other customers.
To go through life sceaming revenge for a wrong, just seems like reliving the wrong over and over in your mind winding your self up. Don't get stressed be cool

I can understand it as a form of escapism I suppose. I like watching Dr Who as much as my kids do, I like reading and watching fantasy and sci fi, I loved red dwarf.
I don't mind watching and reading things that I have to suspend my disbelief but Eastenders is a step to far
Bad jokes aside my lady thinks Eastenders is not as good as it used to be. She thinks this is because it went from being a twice a week show (god I wish they would do that again) to a 3, 4 then for a while I think 5 nights a week show. I can understand the beeb doing this it’s a lot easier to make, gets ratings and is cheaper to produce than say wild life one. But the extra output of production must inevitably have an effect on quality. (Not there was ever a lot in their first place
)

It’s funny I don't think I have ever been a regular watcher of any soap. When I was a kid till now, the theme tune to coronation street has a strange, god help me type of effect on me.

I agree with it being a pile of dung. But I don't think it’s supposed to be like the real East end. It exists to entertain us. (Not very well in my opinion) Reality has very little to do with it. I was reading the dear Miriam agony aunt bit in the mirror and here is the letter that got me thinking.
Dear Miriam, My parents have been married for more than 30 years and you'd think they were Mr & Mrs ordinary to look at them. She's a plumpish housewife and he's a painter and decorator.
I thought I knew them well but I don't. They're strangers to me since I discovered they're into wife swapping. I found a list of swinger adverts by their bed.
Who are these people and where are my real parents? It feels like bereavement.
