She didn't want to do any more cooking books or programs, but Norwich City FC are skint so she bodged this stuff up for some money for the football team.
I don't find this offensive. But if this was a white man doing this I think I would be very uncomfortable. I think context and who is saying the words is very important as to weather a word is offensive.
Think there is a pattern here Said what the same as above for my kids, my lady and me.
To be honest I wouldn't care if she was not British I would still be disgusted. Although if it was someone not from the west it is very unlikely to have even 2 inches of news print and probably nothing on the airwaves so would not have heard about it.
Most of the big religions start off with the message of love and peace. And this message gets screwed up by zealots and the people in power to have control over the people. But as I said before religion do change, popes no longer ride to war on horseback, there is no Spanish inquisition and we don't invade countries to make convert them as Christians now we only do it to get the oil. But for them to change you have got to say its wrong. If you just say "well I don't like it but that’s the law their so that’s fair enough" nothing will ever change.
We may have tiny voice in the big scheme of things but it's a voice millions on the plant would love to have.
Bit off topic this but I believe voting in this country should be compulsory with an option on the ballot paper of being none of the above. (It would probably win) Better idea than compulsory ID cards that’s for sure.
Extreme, very bloody extreme. To have such extreme blasphemy laws just shows how insecure the religion of Islam and the people that run it are in certain countries.
It’s about the power the religious elite have over all the countries people. They interpret Islamic text to suit their ends and their ends seem to be oppression of the people instead of the general message of peace and love of the Koran.
Any one that speaks out is disposed of quickly and publicly as a deterrent to others. Makes me feel lucky to be living in a secular society, with the freedom that brings.
And yes it is another country and they have their own laws but come on wrong is wrong and both examples above are just wrong.
To stick up for it by saying “yes but that’s the law of that country” Wake up. You cannot stick up for opression no matter where it is and be a member on this site without the irony to be almost blinding.
Good cause and easy done. No brainer
