Mr Classy says Avril Lavigne and Kimberley from Girls Aloud 69position
Mrs Classy says Pink, and um....... can I have Christian Bale???? passionkiss
I'm listening to the Inbetweeners soundtrack, chilling out, trawling the net, SH, FB, email..... thinking about the fun night out we had last night, still recovering from a very very late one with mucho alcohol and contemplating a detox week to get over that and the rubbish I've eaten all weekend!
Phew
Some great playlists on Spotify - Britpop, Trance classics and alternative rock.
I LOVE my music!
I wouldnt say I'm shy but I can definitely be lacking in confidence at times. As a woman I tend to feel that if I know I look good I feel confident, if I think I look terrible then I feel like hiding.
But my mantra is definitely, 'fake it til you make it'. Even if you're panicking inside, do the things that you think a confident version of you would do and say and hopefully eventually it will kick in naturally. I'll get there one day......

Have you ever thought about having sex with someone you work with?

Nope...suprising but maybe that just says something about the quality of people we work with!
Have you ever gone to a meet and thought..."no one here has a clue what they are doing!"?
Your watching tv, the adverts come on and you find yourself saying....
"ooh I like that kitchen".....and it's actually an advert for life insurance!!!!!!!!!

I'm probably going to get lynched here but I am prepared to pay whatever for my skincare. I've very problematic skin in that I have roseacea and dry/sensitive skin.
I've used Decleor in the past but couldn't keep up that expense long term being a student. I'm now using a product called Arbonne which has properties in it for the reduction of the redness in my skin and calms the dryness. The face cream has a built in SPF.
I always do the routine, wash, tone, under eye gel, moisturise and once a week a face mask. I also drink oodles of water and I've been told I abs don't look my age.
You only get one face and I think it should be looked after, and yes years ago soap and water was all that was needed but society has changed, so has diet and pollution.
Who knows if I'm wasting my money or not, but right now my skin feels faaantastico! lol

I totally agree here, its worth the money if it makes you feel good.
The scientists etc change their minds every five mins anyway!

I have just chatted to someone on the phone for the first time after chatting online for a while. Unfortunately, they sound nothing like I imagined them to. This has kinda put me off meeting them...
Is that silly? Can a voice be a turn-off?
Have you been in a similar situation with a potential meet only to be turned off by something?
Nola x

There have been lots of times when I've met people (guys and gals) who look seriously hot and then they open their mouths and you wish they hadnt! Guess it all depends on what you're after - if you want someone to have a conversation with and you cant stand their voice you probably wont get far... if you want them for other things then maybe you can persuade them not to be too talkative! :gagged: :giggle:
Seriously though, buckets of personality and charm can usually make up for someones less attractive traits so persevere!

:therethere:
Always always always wear a moisturiser with a minimum of SPF 15. Even in winter. The elements are the worst culprits for ageing your skin.
Well thats my mantra anyway!

Wow! Thanks everyone for such lovely, helpful comments! biggrin
Just to come back to a couple of points that have been made...
I've never asked anybody to help me control what I eat except my husband who does a grand job and puts up with all my issues. I agree that having other people monitor my food makes me feel that I cannot be trusted to make my own decisions!! I am more than aware of every calorie I consume without anyone else telling me.
I'm not really sure why people seem to comment as I dont really discuss my issues with anyone but my husband. I thought perhaps it was because I have these issues that I'm just more sensitive to what might be normal, acceptable comments?? Or perhaps they were trying to subtly make me aware that in their opinion I'm overweight?? dunno
Mrs Classy
Reading the posts about what foods people cant resist got me thinking about other food related issues....
I've always been very conscious of my weight since I was a child and have had and still have issues with food and diet because of it. As a teenager I was a size 8-10 and am now a size 14 but have always considered myself overweight.
I dont know if thats the reason why I notice so much when people comment about food but it always really winds me up.
For example, comments such as 'are you eating again?' at work, when in fact its midday and only the second thing I've eaten or so called friends physically taking food away from me because they dont think I should be eating it.
Am I just being over sensitive? Are people really trying to help me? I cant help but think that its comments like these that got me so obsessed with weight and diet in the first place.
Does anyone else have food issues?
Mrs Classy
dunno
I think its all that extra dehydration from the heat... keep drinking lots of water and wear a sexy hat and shades. No one will know you've got a hang over and you'll look really cool!
