Karen , since we live a sheltered life 
and havn`t a clue what that is , we googled it .........
Will certainly be interesting to see who can ride it the longest ?

Warming the Bed
Well it was dry and bright on Thursday evening when we arrived and set up our awning. It was dry and very hot on Sunday morning when we packed it back up again. There was just a small issue with about 10 hours of heavy rain on Friday and some seriously high winds and low cloud on Saturday.:eeek:
The glorious weather isnt the only thing that makes a fabulous weekend so despite the absence of sun for most of the weekend there was plenty of brilliant company, stacks to eat and drink and lots of fun and giggles. I hope you all get home safely.
Thanks must go to Dean for once again organising a great weekend away despite some seriously sad person trying to sabotage it.

Dean ive sorted some wood to bring, have got 3 small disposable BBQ happy to share, outdoor games stuff (rounders bat, cricket stuff and boules etc) if fit to play and anyone feeling active lol but sure we can think of indoor games if needed fun

Here we are again, another year come and gone. I was going to the stones this morning, but with work and the snow I will not make it.
Just as well, as you would have been a day early. The solstice fell on the 22nd this year.
I watched the lunar eclipse too - very clear from here in Leicestershire and the first time this has happened on the solstice for 400 years, dont think I will be around to see the next one some how :eeek:

Well, where to start with this one! I have had many varied "days from hell" but the last one went a bit like this.............
Was in Wales on a camping weekend with a lot of very nice people from on here and after a late night on Saturday was woken at 4 in the morning by a "commotion" those that were there will know all about this The sun was already up so was not very sucessful at getting back to sleep an hour later so gave up! Eventually after breakfast we decided that rather than find a pub in Wales to watch the football (England/Germany) we were going to make a run for it and get home in time to watch. So we packed up the camper van, loaded up ourselves, 2 dogs and our fellow camper and off we go. That is until we get just past Shrewsbury heading for the M54..............
This is the point when things really go tits up! Flying along in the hope we will only miss the first 5 minutes of the footy by the time we get home, there is a bang and all of a sudden the windscreen is covered in wet stuff! Mr L does a swift manoevre to the hard shoulder, where we discover the radiator has split. I ring the breakdown and tell them whats happened and they say they will send a vehicle out to try and repair us! I advise that roadside repair will not be an option, just send a recovery vehicle. "We cant do that" she says "we have to send someone out to look at it first" so we wait an hour, on the hard shoulder with two dogs on a boiling hot day with a friend who is desperate for the loo :eeek:
Fortunately we had lots of water in the on board water tank to keep the dogs cool but no toilet facilities cos its only a little camper and we only use the site facilities. Friend was dispatched along with loo roll off into the bushes, dogs were kept cool in the shade. All this time poor Mr Leics is getting twitchier and twitchier cos kick off time is approaching and he is no where near home!
So an hour passes and the breakdown vehicle finally arrives. Driver gets out and asks what the problem is.......once we tell him exactly what was told to the call centre he doesnt even look at the vehicle he just says "I can't do anything about that, I will have to call a recovery vehicle" GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So we wait another hour for the recovery vehicle. Still boiling hot and the football is under way now. So here I am, all hot and bothered, tired due to the early morning interuption and fed up cos i just want to get home. Mr Leics is by now watching the football fiasco on my i phone and muttering away at the farce that was England! Eventually the recovery vehicle arrives, the driver looked about 73 and drove like he was in a dodgem.
We eventually arrived home six and a half hours after we left wales, 3 hours longer than it should have been, the football was finished, England were out of the world cup and I was frazzled!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fortunately in the big scheme of things, nothing was life threatening and we had had a great weekend prior to the return journey, we are already looking forwards to camp 2011 :lol:

Less than a week to wait now, how exciting
i know - its that time to write post its just to remind you to take your suitcase!
We started to pack the camper today :lol: and i have a great long tick list for last minute stuff!
Besides, we have Gurl with us this time so she can be in charge of remembering the important things
