These parents seriously need to get a grip on reality - they're not doing the child any favours - nor any poor sod who has to deal with her in the future - whether it is someone daft enough to become her boyfriend when she becomes a glamour model, or the psychiatrist who has to try and tidy up the mess.

Possibly because the Indian/Asian/black girls have more sense than to be wank mag fodder?

Situated alongside your avatar, that's quite an amusing comment. lol
It was meant to be. Irony is such an amusing concept.
kent the op suggested that people of diferent enthnicity didnt "do" Page 3 not porn/not hard core websites etc, the humorous comment was directed at the suggestion of page 3 girls and why they are so stereotypically caucasion.
You've got things the wrong way round Rogue Trader - it is'nt that Indian, black etc women don't "do" wank mags as you call them - it's that they don't do/employ them !
"Wank mags" - I'm not into page 3 etc personally - but is'nt this a case of "erotica is what I read, Pornography is whatYou read" ?
Its been a question for as long as I can remember as to why there are few - if any - Indian,Asian, black etc ladies on page 3, or for that matter in any of the lad's mags or top shelf adult magazines.
This is a sex site - so lets get the debate going !
I think it is because they actually only go for a very specific type of girl anyway - namely the "techno-babe" look with dyed blonde hair, silicone tits etc and simply can't/won't go outside this formulaic approach.
I reckon they should have more of these lovely ladies - what do the other forumites think about this issue ?
Why is it all "comedians" currently are nothing more than tame Islington men circle jerking each other off to try and gain a pat on the back from the London Luvvie-ocracy ?
ps; apart from Pat Condell !
Phew ! where do i start ? ; the ability to get out into the countryside, lurchers, ferrets, punk, encouragement to think for yourself and not just follow fashion/peer group etc, hanging out with the local gypsy lads, reading, NOT watching shite on the telly the whole time or drossing around on play stations & computer games - get a real life not a virtual one !
Antony dislikes fake boobs & botox,
Riot does'nt like beer bellies or males who shag as though they've been watching too many porno films - what she calls the "pokers" - just in + out mindlessly as though their brains have got stuck on a video loop.
This is changing the subject of the thread somewhat, but the comment about "feral youths" often come up.
These days, one of the big issues facing society is gangs with guns & knives - if these lads reckon they're so "well 'ard" - why not stick them in the army so they can prove themselves against the Taleban ? This may sound like an off the cuff comment - but bear in mind that the French Foreign Legion are traditionally comprised of ex criminals and they are reckoned to be one of the world's finest fighting forces....

I think some of the 'standardised moves' involved in pole dancing are actually a lot harder to do well than you may imagine ... becomes abundantly clear when someone with no experience gets up on stage and tries some of them (badly) wink
Mouse? Don't think you ae but are you talking about the one who squirts milk from her fanny into the audience? Saw her perform once at AC, certainly a niche act and a novelty but not sure how much talent is involved ...
Burlesque - very fashionable at the moment but a lot of crap acts on the scene to be honest. I find Ditta V T a bit vacuous myself though there's no denying her contribution to the revival.

Yes - that's the Mouse ! I think she is very talented and has also made her own vids( web; carryonmouse), and is a very lovely lady with it.
Dita looks as if she has been silicone "enhanced" and is somewhat cliched.
There also used to be a good French stripper on the London scene called Babbi who was very raunchy & flirty, and a black lady called Shahida with a great shimmy.
I'm a great fan of good old fashioned down to earth raunchy striptease, as for instance practised by London's supreme stripper - Mouse - but what seems to have happened in recent years is that this has been swamped out by pole dancing and burlesque, nothing wrong with these two activities in themselves - but they're not the full monty.
Most pole dancing is very cliched with peroxide blond girls with orange tans and fake tits doing standardised moves to crap music, and the burlesque lot are too prissy to get their kit off and proffer their rude femininity in its full glory.
Compare this with a good stripper who is comfortable with and proud of flaunting her womanhood, and there is no contest !
Rant over ! What do you think ?
Re Lost's comments on genetic cherry picking, obviously society must be careful, but in a way we already do this, the 1967 abortion act - and I thoroughly support a women's right to choose and think the act is a good piece of legislation - allows abortion where there is a chance the foetus will be malformed etc.
One Dr on the radio recently said that within 5 years it is probable that we will have pre natal detection for autism and that there should be public debate on this. It is generally taken amongst modern society that this is just a common sense approach rather than the "fascist eugenics" smear that comes from Catholic groups.

A thorny question ! she is obviously unfit to have children, as was Karen Mathews, I know in severe cases of congenital mental illness where the mother is also mentally unfit to raise children, or even to give valid consent to sex, sterilisation is regarded as a sensible option, how far should this be extended to borderline cases ? a difficult one, but one that society needs to get it's head around.

'congenital mental illness' ??
what the hell is that ? congenital is something that happens in the womb. Can you explain to a dimwit like myself how that can possibly happen with a mental illness?
Also, I would love to know which branch of medicine or law has documented that 'sterilisation is regarded as a sensible option' for people with a mental health condition or, are you voicing your own opinion?
I do apologise if I am being dim.. but I am not as knowledgeable as you.
Congenital means as is passed on in the genes, I'm not voicing my own opinion, some of the severe cases are sterilised.

Re the above - the various laws surrounding prostitution such as soliciting, advertising, running brothels etc force prostitutes, or at least some of them, into the hands of pimps or organised crime - if sex workers could ply their trade legally, this would take it out of the hands of criminals.
Posh Kate ; thanks for re-reading and clearing up any misunderstanding !
Dawnie ; you still seem to mis understand my piece, I actually agree with the broad thrust (no pun intended !) of what you say, there is nothing wrong with a lady who likes sex charging for it - good luck to her, and of course not all working girls are in the hands of pimps etc, but the law as it stands does tend to force them into this and other dangers, ie, if 2 or more women work together for their own safety this is classed as running a brothel and they may be subject to police action.
Dawnie and Posh Kate do not appear to have read what was actually written, whilst prostitution itself is not actually illegal itself, most of the activities surrounding it are, thus forcing it into criminality, I certainly am not painting sex workers as lepers - just the opposite - it is the law that does so.
As I stated, legal and social discrimination against sex workers should end, the sooner the better.
Let the genuine debate begin !
This subject has occasionally come up in passing in these forums, usually as a result of suburbanesque swingers worried about the possible scenario of a sex worker posing as a swinger, turning up to a meet, and then requesting payment once she has stripped down to her knickers.
I thought this should be debated more extensively in wider terms ; my own view is that what consenting adults do with their own bodies is their own business, and therefore sex work should be legalised.
The illegality surrounding it benefits no one exept gangsters, pimps, sex attackers, and those bible basher specemins who regard sex workers coming to harm as a result of the aforementioned as being "punished for sin".
I regard sex workers as a perfectly ok, even interesting, group of ladies who deserve to be treated with respect and protection from the law.

Sorry doesn't wash what you have said. Heard that one too much. 1 in 4 people have mental health problems and yes I imagine other subsances will always be used if one is taken away. Not that all people with mental health problems take substances.
Of course let people do what is legal but I was not talking about one or two people who are affected I am talking about thousands. They didnt start out lazy and apathetic. They just got into a way of life where they were told recreational drugs have no side affects or addiction.
I will never win on this argument but having been on the outside and seen what it has done to others I am saddened that life has to be ruled by any substance. Maybe if people just could have fun in their lives without believing that drugs of any nature are what relaxes them we would have better relationships inside and outside of families.

Where did you get you're statistics from ? it implies that 1 in 4 of the population have suffered mental health breakdowns as a result of cannabis - I don't think so somehow !
Recent published stats say that 1 in 20,000 may have had schizophrenia triggered by cannabis use, but one must also remember that causes of schizophrenia are more likely to have been other life factors such as abuse etc, and that other stressful episodes such as death of a loved one etc can trigger breakdowns aswell.
Again, should 19,999 people be criminalised because of the one ?
You mention people sinking into lethargy - alot of people to this anyway, drugs or no drugs ! There is such a think as self discepline and will power !
With regards JTS remark that it is undesirable to be able to only get you're jollies from drugs - I agree - but then again it is undesirable to only get you're jollies from any single activity in life (including swinging !)
There are few finer and more delectable sights in life than a ladie's rusty sherrifs badge quivering in happy expectation !

I have had the lectures on how safe cannibis is and how it has no long term addiction and know the Hemp argument so well.
I have also seen a total family destroyed by its father being a cannibis smoker (not skunk)- the paranoia and anxiety side affects which after 10 years I am exhausted from trying to resolve.
In Scotland cannabis is an every day activity on some estates and watching the people live in an unreal world of apathy and poverty has really demoralised my view on the safety of cannabis.
I totally agree that drink is addictive so I am not comparing but for those people who say that cannabis is safe I cannot agree as I believe that I have seen over 10 years too many people in their teens, 20's and 30's and 40's all fall victim to the side affects of a substance that yes does not give you a hangover and yes does not make you violent or want to steal but a substance that can take away your love of life, create paranoia, stop you achieving your goals and stop you having relationships with friends and families.
I think thats the saddest part for me knowing good people who have not been able to break their habits even though all the time I am told it is not addictive .......

Undoubtably some people do abuse cannabis by smoking it every day, but maybe these people are lunchouts anyway, from my experience of life, some people are just plain lazy, or press the self destruct button at every opportunity, if you could wave a magic wand and do away with drugs today, alot of them would just take up glue sniffing or alcoholism instead - should the rest of society be criminalised because of the lumpen few ?
Leaving aside issues of gay, lesbian, straight etc - given the overpopulated state of our fragile planet (not to mention the state of the NHS), one wonders whether fertility treatment, IVF etc is such a good idea after all.
A bit of a variation on the theme, a couple of mates of mine in London have black girlfriends and they've often had hassle from black youths in the street, and not just dirty looks I'm afraid, ie insults and spitting behind them etc - thoroughly unpleasant and racist stuff.
Whilst undoubtably a small percentage of those who use drugs do become unstuck, often due to their own ignorance or stupidity, most people who smoke cannabis or occasionaly use magic mushrooms etc do so in a sensible manner that does not impinge on the rest of their lives or anyone elses.
The concentration of the media on the minority of casualties is akin to saying someone who enjoys a drink at mealtimes is the same as the meths drinker lying in the gutter.
Why should the mature and sensible majority be punished as a result of the actions of the idiot minority ?
I think the reason for "son of the manse" Gordon Brown re-classifieng cannabis back to class B was just to get one over on his old enemy Tony Blair !
NuLabour, prior to their election in 1997 was more or less saying on a nod and a wink to legalisation campaigners that it would be legalisied.
I'm not suggesting taxpayers pick up the tab for drugs, people wanting to buy them should be allowed to go to an approved outlet and spend their own cash.
At present the taxpayer does pick up the tab for police, courts, prison etc, and more to the point the taxpayer does pick up the tab for society's alcohol and nicotine use via hospitals and policing violent behaviour.
One campaign group worth checking out for a non hack journalist outlook on drugs is Transform ;
Society pays a price because of the illegality, if people could just go to a chemists and buy cannabis etc, the criminality would be removed.
Alcohol costs society vast sums due to health issues, violence etc - why not ban that ?
And again - what people do with their own bodies is their own business in a democratic society
Here's a libertarian subject SH forumites may be interested in !
Aside from the fact that vast amounts of taxpayers money is wasted on the war on drugs, surely what consenting adults do in an informed and educated fashion with their own bodies is none of the state's business ?
Some drugs have been used in an orderly fashion for millenia, ie cannabis, coca leaf, psilocybe mushrooms, peyote cacti etc, does the govt think we're all so stupid we can't do the same.
If someone has a drug problem surely it is between them and their doctor, not the police, I'm sure most people would rather the police were out catching muggers, rapists, burglars, terrorists etc instead of forcing people into the hands of gangsters selling dodgy chemicals.
Why single out the Anglo-Saxon peoples for a slang off campaign ?
We had an empire because of technically superior weaponry and tactics - not because we had any more desire to build an empire than anyone else.
American Indian and African tribes, for instance, were, and in many areas of Africa still are, involved in nationalist & racist tribal warfare, ie Rwanda, Kenya, South African pogroms against Zimbabwean refugees etc
Uncomfortable, but true.
One thing that rankles me is the media bias over civilian casualties etc, whilst these must obviously be reported and prevented from happening again as they undoubtably a disaster, why is it C4 news et al never report Taleban atrocities such as their practice of throwing acid in schoolgirl's faces or the gouging out og female teachers eyes for the henious sin of wanting an education ?....
In every single greenhouse in Kew Gardens on the same day - you can do it in a variety of different climates - ie tropical rainforest etc
Get down there before summer is through !
PS - has anyone ever thought of doing it outside Regents Park mosque during Friday prayers ?!
