I can't help laughing when people buy toilet rolls .....and the bigger the packs the more I laugh! .......

What you trying to say,we buy family packs :sparring:
As were in a rather daft and stoopid mood, weve been having some rather daft conversations.
Another of our discussions has been about who are the bestest baddies ever............(vol one)
Weve come up with some....
The daleks being No1
Then theres some other great ones like...
Tripods,Darth Vader,Triffids, cybermen (scared the shite out of me when i was young).
Are there any you can think of,especially that scared the living crap out of you when you were dafter the better???

Thanks again to everyone for their help and time :D :D
Ive had a long hard think about this since it was first raised and i dont think that in general thers anything wrong in the conduct of people during munches.I know that a few peoplke have had some things done to them that are not right and these things need addressing, but that cant be done on the night in my opinion.
Firstly, people are too pissed to make a proper apprasial of what is best on the night and secondly all the i nformation needs to be taken in.
Im not saying thta whats happened to certain people isnt bad and beyond what is right but what im saying is that in general instances the only chance to take neccesary action to sort out the people who have wronged is in the light of the day.
But i would say that if anyone does see anyone in genuine distress please help them and ask the people concerned what is going on.
Welcome back hun, your not the only one who's been away for a while biggrin
Its a refreshing place lol

That sounds like it would work, why the bloody hell didnt i think of it  .Thanks for that TNH,i just need to find a cable thats about 10 metres long, not cheap i bet.
Oh and the Media Center comes with a remote that controls the Sky as well biggrin

Now in the case of munch helpers there is 3 or 4 people there to help, not to run around trying to throw people out, but to be a listening ear and someone the new person knows they can approach safely for help. Someone who will be sober, and just look out for them.

But you can't guarantee that the people appointed (by whom exactly??) would be reliable, and I can think of one or two people on here who would relish the job of munch 'helper' as a means of identifying and targetting vulnerable people. Imagine that, the prey now goes TO the predator.

I agree that plenty of people would use this authority to hurt people they don't like.
Weve just bought a brand spanking new gorgeous a media center pc and i was really looking forward to getting it set up to the Sky box to use as a recording device (yes i'm excited about things like that). After following the instructions on how to link it up it didnt work  .Much fecking about followed and finally i bit the bullet and phoned the store i got it from to find that at the moment you can't link up a pc to Sky.
Now ive had a look around the internet and i'm sure that it is possible but not in the way that Microsoft please does anyone know how this is possible??Ive got an S-video,TV in and white, red and yellow atachments on the TV card on the Sky box had two output please can someone help me???
Much appreciation would follow any advice on this matter.

It's Okay, but hardly a belter.
Ever since Morning Glory, they've been going further and further downhill...
...am gonna buy New Order's new album today, got high hopes for that one!

The new New Order one is great you'll love for recent albums that possibly should have made the list,The Doves-Some Cities is fantastic and already looks like being possibly the best album of the of course unless Coldplays album turns out to be a belter, but its their tricky third and theyve got two awesome ablums to follow.
As for Morning Glory being the defining Britpop album,i think that crown goes to Blur with Modern life is rubbish and not album started the whole Britpop style.
Weve got 24 off the list biggrin
I'm actually very surprised that theres no Cure in the list as theres quite a big comeback in their music at the moment and Kiss me,kiss me,kiss me and Discintegration are fantastic albums.
Now for all of you who see Radiohead as not being groundbreaking and inspirational, look at certain invented new technology to perform music (and they use it when they play live),they wrote and recorded Lucky in a single day for the Help album (which i think should be in there too). How many bands have the talent to do that, very few and the song is amazing.I'd also imagine that most recent bands would name drop Radiohead as huge influences.
How much more groundbreaking can you get??
Now that Clares finally got that off her chest rolleyes i might get a word in,tuh.
Ive had a good look at the list and theres no New Order is this since without them there wouldnt be a lot of the great bands about now????
The list was taken from a shortlist of 125 and the public voted.I'm actually quite surprised to see that OK Computer is still the number one album as quite often its the band of the moment that gets the it goes to show the lasting appeal of it as its been around for 8 years now and people still rate it so highly.I guess the fact that so many of the newer "proper" bands are heavily influenced by them is one of the reasons.
For all of you who think Radiohead are boring and depressing remember that OK Computer and the albums that have followed are some of the most groundbreaking since the like of Pink Floyd and The are the band that are setting the new benchmarks in music that others will follow for many years to come.
Ive finally found the list, some of it is a bit crap but i won't argue with Radiohead biggrin :D :D

Normally prefer books to film versions, like to use my very active imagination and make my own interpretation, but some thngs are still just wonderful on film too. Lord of the Rings and The Green Mile being two good examples.

im sorry but the lotr was a load of tosh on film he couldent get half the story right for a start
Totally agree on that, where the feck did that bloody love story come from, its the wrong bloody character for a start mad
Buffy is one of the only examples i can think of.I know its a series that came from a film but the film was absolute tosh and the series was bloody fantastic, shame it had to end

I damaged my back just a couple of weeks ago. I saw a guy who uses a 'cupping' method, whereby he uses glasses cups that act like suction on your back. He also did a bit of acupuncture and within twenty minutes I wasn't cured, but I felt 95% sorted and within ten days I was back in the swing of things. One session cost £50, but at the time I would have paid double. It was worth it.
Mal

Was he an acupuncturist (or whatever you call someone who gives acupucture)???What are they called in the Yellow Pages???

£2.5 million divided by 20,000 members is £125 each - sounds bloody good value to me!!
Mal

Our share is the way.
We could have tourists in so we could recoup the cash,Clare and me will be the naked tourist guides  wink .
