refereeing the kids! By that i mean that ensuring they dont tear any essential limbs of each other or break anything irreplacable

I did a massive house clear and clean yesterday starting at 5am so other than a quick swish with the dettol and a hoover tonight i wont be doing anything else!

yes, and ive been guilty of thinking the same before i became one!
As a single parent i come accross negativitiy everywhere including in the bank! Peoples whole attitudes change as soon as they realise!
However i was once one of those people, and i now have the good grace to admit i was wrong! I put every single mum in the same box and it was totally unjustified and unfair!

It means i'm gonna fall over!
Every morning i meet a lovely old fella who is totally blind, and walking his guide dog (dog off duty for walkies), so he uses his stick.
Our dogs run off to play and he invariably hears me walking up behind him and each and every time trips me over! that little rubber end manages to buckle my knee each time!
But on a serious note it should mean that everyone is a little more careful (and in my case - cautious)and respectful of peoples limitations!

My daughter firmly believes that when the pet bunny died he was collected by the black rabbit and has gone to play with all the other bunnies from watership down! - well it was favourite film at the time!
Serious lies that will/could affect them for the rest of their lives? no... although i will hide the whole truth until they ask/are old enough to know.
When my little girl at the ripe old age of 3 wanted to know where babies came from :shock: I went out and bought some books! My favourite being "where willy went - the story of a little sperm". Its a lovely story and very very funny (from an adults point of view), that skims lightly over the sex part but explains everything in as much details as i think she "needs" to know yet! However if she asks me exactly how the baby gets in there then i will tell her! i certainly wont lie!
When me and ex split up, we explained things in a way she could understand (as much as any young child can understand their parents seperating), and yes i have hidden the full truth from her, again until she is of an age she can understand or until she asks, i will never lie to her. I've also taken stepts to try and help avoid the angry teenager blaming mummy thing.
The most important thing to me was that she still felt loved and that she was still part of a family, so i've spent alot of time explaining that families come in all shapes and sizes. That mummy and daddy love her no matter where they are and no matter where she is etc etc etc. I cannot bear to see people who use children as weapons/spies. A very good friend of mind has also recently seperated and her 2 year old daughter comes out with the most horrid obscenities about her dad, this i know will come back to bite her.
God i'm waffling now! time to shut up i think, like missy i knew where i was going when i started to type but ive lost me way a bit!

I'm off for one next week!, mind you i'm not worried, they used to be really really painful for me too, but i think thats down to who was doing them!
We now have a new female doctor who is fantastic ( i too have them every 6mo), and she even made having the mirena coil insterted much less painful and unpleasant than the stories i had been told!
She jokes, tells tales, makes you laugh and relax which really really helps! she also has a fantastic sexy scots accent (i shouldnt have said that!)
