Forum

Yeah, I came back after a long hiatus and could hardly recognise the place. I do miss the forums. Everything seems to have gone to chatrooms.

Forums used to be very lively.

I prefer mine neatly trimmed. I never had the balls (pun not intended) to shave my testicles completely. The thought of a sharp blade getting near my...er family jewels fills me with dread, fear and cold perspiration.

The fake profiles are not new, and SH is not alone in being targeted:

The Mod team have a number of tools available to help weed these profiles out, and we do so proactively. You wouldn't believe how many fakes never see the light of day, but some do get through so we always appreciate it when someone reports them to us. thumbup.gif

That's an interesting link (to the BBC).

But it's not only men who create fake profiles. Long time ago when I was a newbie, I got chatting (on another website which I won't mention) to a very interesting, clever and sexy woman. I was feeling very proud of myself thinking how clever/sexy/hot I am that I have managed to get this woman interested in me etc.

Long story short we went off site to talk in real life on the phone, soon after that I start getting messages from a very religious point of view saying I should be ashamed of what I was doing, it's a sin, I should repent, yada yada. At first I thought haha that's funny it's a joke... but then the messages started getting weirder and weirder. Then I realised by the time that we talked in real life I had revealed a bit too much about myself which she was using. It freaked me out. I noticed some other guy mentioning something similar happening to him so probably a few more too.

Anyway, it was early days then, much older and wiser now. Also I agree with the general consensus, there will always be fake profiles here and on every other website we can think of. My premise is that out of every 10 only 2 will be real... maybe pessimistic but hey, once bitten, etc.

I joined SH back in 2006.

It had to be the lovely Nola to get me to post again... and I beat you by one year Nola - 2005 vintage here!!

Blame the Peruvians!
There was a congregation of Peruvian Shamans who started a ritual to prevent the apocalypse... obviously it worked!!!
Happy AWOL, looking forward to lots more shagging ahead
smile
Er... I'm sorry but I would like to hijack this thread for a few moments to wish EVERYONE (not just the mods smile) a Merry Chritmas and a very Happy Swinging New Year...

Never understood Twitter or the reasons behind it. Social networking sites are a strange thing for me to understand, but I suppose it saves on the stamps and the telephone charges eh?
I have had a look at a few posts on Google and it would seem that many people get some kind of kick out of muttering a few nonsensical words on what they had for dinner. What a strange way to waste a persons time on.

I second that! smile
I recently designed a website for a client and they asked me to place their twitter feed on a page... I thought really? I mean most of their tweets were inane comments about nothing in particular. I advised them to reconsider or be careful what they tweet but hey the customer is always right rolleyes

I don`t like lol

Me neither. I also don't life facebook. I'm not on it. I'm not on twitter. I'm not on myspace or any other social networking site out there er... except perhaps for SH smile
I like my privacy too much. If I were invisible it would be great. Actually I think I am invisible. The only time people notice me is when I do something stupid... but I like it that way (being 'invisible' I mean not stupid) ;)

And then there were four. AWOL, you better get yer finger out if you're joining us? sad

Weyhey! I made it - it was about 11:45 or so (I think?)
Thanks guys for waiting for me (yeah I know you weren't really but I like to massage my own ego) smile
Things I learnt from last night's chat.
Minx is sexy and she pays extra for coloured feathers ;)
Neil is a show off... he was multitasking in forum and chat pah! And then women say men can't multitask. You show them Neil! :)
Flower asks very hard questions... he asked me to say something profund since they were 'waiting' for me to turn up. Me... say something profound? Hey we're taking about AWOL here not Nietzsche or Chomsky. The nearest profound thing I could possibly say is er... nope nothing there biggrin
Stevie has good taste (he agreed with me about a fascinating TV documentary) :)
I think most of us agreed that bacon tastes good and it would be hard to give up.
What made me feel quite good is the fact that I wasn't the only one who made appalling typos... we all did. Oh and once again I found it a bit hard to keep track who was asking me what. I was afraid I was answering questions aimed at other people and the room wasn't even full! That shows how slow I am and then Flower asks me to say meaningful stuff heheh :)
It was fun though... yes definitely we must do this again
:D

That is so very true wink as we dont allow any kind of naming and shaming on the site, as there could be thousands of reasons why someone didnt turn up for a meet.
Important thing is that Foo Fighters had a really good night

I :inlove: my Tivo... especially as it lets me skip over the adverts (and un-delete deleted progams! redface)

Wow the Tivo lets you undelete? I've heard good things about Tivo. Definitely the one to go for, once mine packs up (not too soon I hope, they are expensive the bloody things).

... I've no idea what pvr stands for. ...

What is a PVR?
Personal video recorders, or PVRs, record television programmes. They're also sometimes called DVRs, or digital video recorders.
Unlike video recorders or DVD recorders, which use removable tapes or discs to store programmes, a PVR records TV to an internal hard disk.
This means that a PVR's storage capacity is huge – more than 100 hours of programming is typical, and the largest can store 250 hours worth of TV before the hard drive is full.
There’s also no degradation in picture and sound quality when you record a programme – when you play it back it’s just as good as watching live TV.

Taken from
Freeview+ and Sky+ machines are PVRs

Do you just rent a DVD or do you check out what`s on and then moan cos it`s crap ? lol

Nowadays it's usually something interesting I recorded ages ago on my PVR. I love these things (PVRs) in days of old I use to record stuff on video tapes and as usual I use to end up with a huge pile of unwatched tapes with scribbled titles on the labels. Inevitably something great would be shown on TV (documentary or film) and as usual I'd be out of blank tapes so I had to make the difficult choice to tape over something that I hadn't watched yet or not record the new programme. Decisions, decisions.
So as I said now I have hours and hours of stuff recorded and ready to watch and there's no piles of tapes in sight weyhey!
Whoever invented PVRs is a genius!

E. None of the above

I like the forums, and like I said in my profile, if I don't post my opinion before I read other peoples' opinions I might end up not being quite sure of what I think! smile
But seriously, being AWOL by nature whenever I come back to the forums someone already said what I would have liked to say so I don't see the need to repeat the same 'opinion'.
Having said that, I much prefer the forums to the chatrooms. I find the chatrooms more cliquey than the forums. Everyone in the chatrooms seems to know each other and when you greet people no-one replies (or very few do) I guess they are too busy wanking (which of course I never do ahem). Another thing with the chatroos is all the formalities and rules. You can't say this, you can't say that, you can't whisper, you can't sneeze, you can't yawn, you can't direct, you can't redirect, etc. etc. Plus I'm such a slow typist that by the time I finished typing a comment on chat the conversation has moved on so much that they are already talking about something else. Bah humbug... so er... I think I lost my train of thought; what was your question again?
dunno

I get quite a few messages and requests from guys far younger than me, often in their early to mid 20s. I'm not sure I get what they are looking for although I fully realise that everyone has different tastes. So, my question to the guys, what makes you want mature women? And to the mature women who have said yes, was it worth it?

This is speaking from personal experience and I might be generalising a little but... For a young man, there's something incredibly alluring about an older woman. She's more experienced (not just sexually), more sure of themselves, they know what they like and what they don't, in general they are less self-conscious.
When I had my first relationship with an older woman I was 17 going on 18 and she was in her 40s. Before I met her I used to fancy her beautiful daughter, who was about my age. One day a group of friends and I visited this girl at home and her mum was there (our excuse to revise for exams yada yada). My god, talk about the mother outshining the daughter.
This woman just oozed sex appeal without even trying. Her self-confidence, her whole persona was very alluring, especially if we compared to her daughter and friends our age, typical selfcosncious teenagers still learning about life, sex, relationships, etc. The mother... she had it all, and to top it all she was beautiful too.
I'm embarrased to admit it now but since that day I moved heaven and earth to spend time alone with the mother, with one excuse or another. At first she saw me as an amusing if slightly silly nuisance of a boy but she was never nasty or condecending. One day at a party she was there with her daughter. We danced and that was when I first kissed her. The rest is history and I was the happiest 18-year old ever! It didn't last long but it was so amazing that I still remember every moment I spent with her.
What she taught me was priceless. To take my time! Take it slowly. You can imagine a young man with raging hormones going at it 100 miles an hour. She taught me to enjoy lovemaking in a different way... I'm sure I don't need to explain it here.
Then again, I suppose it works both ways. I'm sure you've all heard of similar stories from younger women finding older experienced men more attractive than men their own age.
I once saw an Italian film called Malena with Monica Bellucci. About a teenage boy's infatuation with an older woman... It brought back fond memories.

Giving and recieving... do you exist?

Do you mean at the same time?! dunno
Aaah, you mean *anal* fisting, gotcha. I understand the lack of availability now! (What skinny said).
I think he means two women fisting each other at the same time - i.e. mutual fisting. I'm getting an image of a yin and yang position - or maybe it's just me and my pervy mind smile
