Bloody hell they're all at it. The end of the world as we know it is approaching and the men are all out playing golf.
Well , we might the first 9 holes in , then a shower and a quick drink before the end of the world .Esp if one of the ladies wouldn't mind getting them set up in advance . Pound a hole lads ?

I had not realised how dark the storm clouds were until this moment :giveup: I have been obssesivley in love without it being returned , I can now see when I look back that it wasted 2 years of my life. The young woman concerned liked me well enough , but not in the way I felt for her . One day I called and talked to her , and she said something that I didn't like and I just felt differentley from that moment on , now I'm sure that did not happen instantly , I had been building up to that tipping point and that was the time I needed . We lost contact for years , and then I met her agianmumbble years later , and although I still like her , she can't make me behave irrationaly any more . A very good friend of mine went through a similar time with a girl who "did it" for him . Again 2 wasted years , then one day he woke up and got on with his life .
The oddest thing is , that when I regained control of myself there was none of that "everyone can see your blown away" to quote Paul Simon that happens when you break up with someone and you have been in an intense relationsahip , it was like your broken leg healing and you could get out of the emotional wheelchair and get on with life. Onlyme , sitting down and getting your thoughts crystaallised via this forum is a good start .

Sorry , cant tell you about in the windscreen as I did not go to Brazil , I can imagine that a long term solution for your approach would involve an exhibitionist CD

I have great news of a technological breakthrough, Mick the barman has just got back from holiday in Brazil , Pedro the taxi driver who collected them from the airport told him that the CD hanging up in the windscreen of his cab deflects all radiation , including speed cameras . Mick has fitted one here in the bay window looking out over the cricket pitch ( don't worry , the CD is a free "Best of Julio Englesias " from a 1997 Mail on Sunday) , this is working very well , both the beer engine and the microwave are fully functional and no one has turned into a green slime and ebbed out under the door , so it seems to have improved the beer .

Just a couple of points I would like to make. You will need some lead acid accumulators to run the lap top , and a generator set with some stockpiled fuel to recharge them. We must also prepare for a breakdown in the telecom infrastructure so any normal SH memeber should buy a short wave radio equiped with a packetise transport layer to avoid Armageddon interfering with Arm a gedding it on .
Spending the duration in Cyber space is a great idea, if you had planned ahead and had 4 seperate enquiries into carefully selected little bits with very tight terms of reference so you could "PROVE" that no one was to blame for anything at all when the dust has settled and it's safe to come out and start claiming your expenses again all set up in advance and ready to go , then never mind promotion to the general staff, I think a cabinet place would have beckoned

No , of course it is not safe, and you know this which is why you have posted . This is a classic case of the trouser brain steering the ship , and we all know the view is a bit limited from down there . You are 99.9% sure of meeting 2 lovely liberated people and having fantastic sex in a natural paradise, the 0.1% will appear in 2 part police series coming to a screen near the rest of us soon .
I suppose this is why it makes us all so happy when two single people become a couple, and like life itself the result is more than the sum of it's parts . Surprised the Police did not book you all for causing criminal damage, they are usually on the side of the criminal these days . This is serious posting , those guys watching kids should be the targets of a police intelligence operation as not only should this be stamped out , but it may be just the tip of the iceberg of what they are involved in .
