I believe its the photo ads search, it's been replaced with the new "My Search" do dah and it doesn't seem to work properly.

It appears a lot of the messages in this room are well past the date of the meet.

Can sometimes be because some muppet doesn't check the date of the meet an posts on the thread, thus bringing back to the top. But like Sara said if the meet is a social/munch or private party then quite often people post a thankyou note on the thread.
I'm real, well at least I think I'm real but I could just be a figment of some ones imagination.

But those who have joined since the big change and have to pay to be members surely are no longer members after their membership payment isn't renewed?

It's not the case Foxy, you can register as a site member for free, it's just you cannot do very much as a free member and in order to use the facilities of the site you need to "upgrade" ie pay your subscription. When the subscription expires they revert back to free members with limited access to the site, they still remain as members on the site database.
I remember contact mags, first got my hands on one when I was 17. I mainly looked for older single ladies with not much success the waiting was a real pain in the arse. The excitement as the postie delivered the mail and the dissapointment when there was no reply. When a reply did arrive the responses would more than likely be a no thanks, occasionaly it would be a "you can meet me it will be £££" and very rarlely a postive result.
It could get expensive with buying the mag, forwarding fees and stamps both for the letters to be forwarded and the replies in the stamped addressed envelope you often had to put in with your letter to the advertiser.
How things have changed, used to take weeks to be ignored, now it takes no time at all

Bareback generally (here anyway) refers to unprotected sex.
Bull is usually a reference to the Dominant male who has sex with the wife of a cuckolded man.
HTH smile

Hmmm Angel, smart as well as sexy wink

I think I love you :inlove: a geek with chic
I can't honestly remember when I first started on swinging heaven. The date August 2005 is when I joined the forums, but I'd been using the ads section for quite a while before that.
Hi If your in Leeds this weekend I might just be tempted to go down the club myself, on second thoughts I'm not just tempted I'll go, ages since I been to the club.
Just been having a look at the poll on this thread, for a thread that has generated 20 plus pages of discussion only 127 bothered to vote, on a site of thousands and a subject that the people who have posted about feel strongly about. I'm disappointed after all should verification come in we will all be affected to some degree whether we choose to opt in/out. To me it suggests the vast majority of members couldn't care less about verification.
I hope admin will publish the results of their poll on the subject.

we have already stated verifications wont stop timewasters, but it might cut in half the the amount of fake profiles around.
it also helps newer members that haven't yet been known who don't like forums or attending socials.
can't comment on the feedback system as thats not something we agree about, and as you have rightly said, it is too open to abuse and not very discreet.

I'm curious how would it cut down the number of fake profiles?
please explain your reasoning on this, at present if you spot a fake profile you can report it and it will get removed with a verification system it would still take some one to report that it was fake, no different to as it is now really.
Right a question or two for all the pro verification folks. What do hope/expect a verification will prove,
1. are people who they claim to be on their profile? IMO this is the most achievable goal, but is there any need the site already does it's best to ensure profiles are accurate and not miss leading. If you find one you think is dodgy, report it, admin will investigate and if it is dodgy it will get deleted.
2. who are time wasters and will it get rid of them? You'll never get rid of time wasters, putting obstacles in their way for some only increases the thrill they get from wasting folks time. I've seen it argued on free sites that they should become paysites to discourage time wasting, does it work does it bollox! this is a paysite and as some have said there are a lot of time wasters here
3. Do you want it because other sites have them or because you genuinely believe it will make the site a better place to be?
Right my personal opinions on verification is its a waste of time and causes more arguments than it solves. I too have been round the other sites with verification systems in place and all I can say is don't believe everything you read, Oh an as for feedback lets not even go there with this site please.

There used to be a monthly magazine called Rendezvous.

Ooo I remember that one, writing letters, forwarding fee's and SAE's
At one time if a picture was placed on an advert you could see it full size by clicking the thumbnail image regardless of whether the owner had it in their private gallery, but it would appear the site code has been tweaked, now if you click on a thumbnail image that links to a file in a private gallery you get the message telling you that you don't have permission to view it.
Sorry to pick on your post Sexysmilingeyes but I am someone who has had and needs a transplant.
Quote by Sexysmilingeyes
becuase usually when someone goes against the grain its what happens - seen it loads of times
But ok, some of my reasons -
Like the other ladys mom, I feel I came into this world whole and I want to leave it that way. Thats a personal choice, I have no problems with that.
I understand that we now have to knowledge to improve and extend peoples lives but I think swopping / adding new body parts is too far ... its not like one swop and its all sorted, people have to take tablets forever then to stop it rejecting and many have to have another transplant later in life. That is correct, there are no guarantees with transplants, yes you will require imunosupresive medication while ever the transplant is inside you.
For me personally if I was the 'knackered' and I use that term loosely (not wanting to offend anyone) then I dont want to keep being repaired, I'd much rather enjoy what I had for the time I had. 'knackered is a very subjective term, one persons idea of 'knackered' will differ from someone else. I was 18 when I had my first transplant, I'm 42 now and still think I'm not knackered yet.
I just think we are not all born equal, with the given right to live X amount of years - if we keep extending and prolonging life like we are we will be never die at this rate - which I know some think great, I for one don't want to live forever, but where do we draw the line, I wonder how many of us wouldn't be here if it wasn't for medical intervention.
but we need to think of the bigger picture, like the quality of life. I quite agree, at the age of 42 and on dialysis I think I have a very good quality of life, again the phrase 'quality of life' is subjective and down to personal interpretation.
Hope it explains a little of what I think

I have no problem with people who do not wish to donate for what ever reason, that is their choice. The ones who do, I say thankyou, not just from me but the thousands who require a new organ. What does piss me off is all those who can't be arsed one way or the other.
I'd say it was an urban myth even though its possible to remove both kidneys from someone, the time it takes to remove just one is about 4 hrs if you want the person to live that is. It can be done slightly quicker but involves removing the lower rib, the person would require a blood transfusion because of the blood loss during surgery and the only way it would happen is in a medical facility.
In answer to Venus's question of how long can you live without your kidneys, well it's about 2 weeks depending on what you eat an drink, if you get treatment (dialysis) then who knows I've been on dialysis for 6 years.
Over the years I've had both my own kidneys removed, 2 transplants and I'm currently on the waiting list for no. 3
OI voddy I can read you know, bad girl smackbottom :smackbottom:
I read the profiles then go an look at the piccies
