Just wondered if any doggers had recently been stopped by police and what kind of feedback they had. I am from Warrington and the 2 spots in our area now seem well marshalled. The spot near to Wigan and Leigh also seems well covered.
The police who stopped me were very friendly, and asked me if I was aware that the area was used for subversive sexual activity! I made my excuses (stopped to make a business call bla bla) and they played the game, just suggesting i didn't go there again.
Has anyone else had any run-ins, and with the police being so vigilant, are people coming up with other spots that aren't known??
If anyone knows areas close to me that are secluded but used by couples, i would love to hear from you.

I've been given the go-ahead from Devon1 to organise the lunchtime drinks, as myself and one of the ladies will be in Plymouth a couple of hours earlier than him.
So, any newbies or munch virgins, or just anyone wishing to meet up with a few of us die-hard party animals (mentioning no names Vix and Reese..lol) who are maybe a little nervous about attending their first munch and would rather meet some of us first to say hello and see that we're all just "normal" people. Drop me a PM and I'll send you some details of time and place etc. It'll probably be between 12 and 1pm start, but if you can't get for that time feel free to drop in anytime between then and around 3-4pm (maybe even later if we all get along well.)
Nothing to worry about, it'll just be a no-pressure drink or two, in a bar as a prelude to the munch. No-one need feel nervous or apprehensive at all.

In my experience a couple of drinks at lunchtime can often turn into a very alcohol fuelled afternoon.....but we could always go for a dip in the recently renovated lido on Plymouth Hoe to sober up

Last time I cried it was while watching "Grave of the Fireflies", so did everyone else in the room. A very weepy film and the only time a piece of Anime or a cartoon has brought tears to my eyes. The children were in full on crying mode by the end of it...

Visited our local hot spot late last night on the way home. Please will people take more care and not drive so fast they can't stop if a deer or other animal runs out in front of them!
There was a baby deer in road, it's mother ran away as I approched & pulled over to move it (even a baby deer is quite large and a traffic hazard). It was well and truly splattered and dead but the blood was very fresh and the stench was intense! There had been another dead deer on the verge 1/4 mile back up the road so I guess that its the time of year when the roe are born.
Please folks remember there babys are about and slow down if your out! These deer can appear out of the undergrowth without warning...

I have no problem with having only SH members present and if it is policy I certainly will not bring them to the Munch. They only have to go to the right places and their sure to meet couples who only want couples - after all I meet enough without even trying...

What an amazing experience, did anyone else go to this wonderful celebration of sun, light and laughter? I have been to Stonehenge before many years ago but on Monday night the place came to life. It was rather like travelling back in time to another era. A very Pagan, tribal time that existed before Christianity narrowed ones experience and brought in a very puritanical approach to life.
It was a celebration of life, sensuousnous and spirituallity - a stark contrast with the surrounding area on Salsbury Plain, home to many military establishments. It was an expression of ones individuality and desire for freedom. A positive joy to behold, free from the ever increasing regulation and interference of our nanny state.
I have come away with a more spiritual and less hedonistic attitude to life that can only help me to be a more considerate and less selfish person. A big thank you to my friends that encouraged me to take time off work and make the trip!

Does anyone know what all the police action was about around midnight on saturday? Helicopter out, spotlights,etc? They didn't seem to be stopping anyone so it didn't seem to be an action against the doggers & gays who frequent the location.

I went to a rave party at a local doggin site.....it was rather good.....i never sussed out who called out the Old Bill - could it have been a pissed off dogger? Would the people who frequent this website call the OB if a bunch of ravers took over their fave haunt for a night? Raves may not be strictly illegal, nor is dogging but as other posts on this web site have shown, the police do take doggers to court just as they have taken rave party organisers to court.

I've had some great times at the places you mention and certainly met some very interesting people.
There's plenty of other locations in Devon - we have the most extensive road network of any county! We are really spoilt for choice of suitable sites; maybe it would be a good idea to use some of them?

Camping friday to sunday gets my vote, especially in this weather! If we camp near a pub then that allows for everyone to be happy. Sure a few hotels will rear the heads too.

Mmm, not sure one that advertises for certain members is the best to go for? For one thing I thought a munch was mainly a meeting that didn't descend into an orgy, so any campsite would be ok. Besides, a poll a while back (I found that in at the same time I found this thread) suggests that the most popular place for a SW munch was Devon with 31% of the vote.

As to the organising, what say we cut through the crap and organise it ourselves then get a beautiful local girl to front the munch so we at least attract one other person than ourselves? But even with three of us, at least we tried and partially suceeded... what do you think? Personally I think you should keep it all in public (the info not the munch), these PMs keep things secret and fill up your inbox and stops everyone seeing that the idea is still hot. Besides that, if the host drops out or their email access goes down, then the whole thing grinds to a halt.
That way you can have it the first w/e of September, which gets my vote too.

The town I live in is really making it easier to recycle domestic waste, plastics, cans and paper,cardboard, clothes can all be put into green plastic bins and will be recycled. I wouldn't fancy the job of sorting it all out - plastics have a funny little symbol on that indicate its composition and hence method of recycling. Even some bottle tops have the mark!
One of my contribution to the environment is cutting up the plastic wraps that hold four packs of beer together......call me soft but I heard that little animals have been known to get caught up and trapped by these items when discared......and they dont bear a recycling mark so they end up in landfill!!! (anyone else do this?)
Oh - my other contribution - he he, now I'm a single man the heating is off more often than on! Unless I'm entertaining of course
